Looking good. It may be my aging eyes but aren't the front discs on the wrong way round?
I believe they are fitted correctly

I know the feeling, I've been progressing my Tuscan but haven't been updating my thread as often as I should.

Exellant progress, you seem to be going down the same route as me in some key areas. suspension, brakes and clutch...

I notice you've gone for Nitrons, I was going for the latest Billies but found a set of Nitrons without springs so I can source my own springs and choose softer rates. What spring rates did you choose, 400F/325R? Intereting that Nitron spring rates are double the Tuscan S Eibach front rates; 200F/285R.

You have the same early 6 bolt calipers as mine, are the front discs from Reyland? what size? I'm getting a custom 330mm set-up made at the moment, the bell will be thicker so I don't need 3mm spacers anymore.

also, I notice you've gone for a CG Motorsport clutch, is it a refurbed original AP item? I bought a used AP clutch from ebay for about £30 and sent it to CG as an exchange unit, worked out about £550 for what is basically a new clutch which is amazing value.

What slave cylinder did you go for?

Hi mate.

The disks are the 330 Reyland jobbies. I stuck with Nitrons as they were on the car when I brought it, I like how it drove so I stuck with them. The clutch has never been touched in my 12 years ownership so we figured it's best getting it rebuilt, i reckon it's done around 50k miles.
The clutch is AP and I have gone for a raceproved slave cylinder.

One thing I do not know is spring rate as I left that to the knowledge of Sportmotive

Did you give them a custom size for bells on your disks or are they thicker anyway

You could speak to Raceshocks (Meteor Motorsport) as they can valve and spring Nitrons according to your requirements. Be careful though as I ended up ditching my 20 year old Nitrons and blowing my budget by swapping to their Core 1 setup.

Have you looked at the Tilton replacement option?

Custom bell, standard disc is 7mm thick at the hub face so asked for 10mm

I've got a used Raceproved unit just need to get new o-rings for it which i think i can get from Motaclan. I have read about the Tilton unit but don't know much about it, what can you tell me BB?

The Nitrons are basically new old stock and missing bearing spacers and spring perches etc so need to source these. My plan is to try the Tuscan S Eibachs first and see how it rides and experiment with various rates from there, I like tinkering...

Nice work, I'm liking the black alloy tanks, nice change from the usual polished finish. I've gone for a matt finish clear Cerakote.

Interesting coolant cap, what's it from?

Looking forward to seeing the progress on the interior. What colours are you going for?

Originally i think the coolant cap is from 80s/90s Volkswagen. My black one was advertised as a coolant cap for a mk 2 golf. The tanks are crackle finish black, i'm just waiting for some black hose clips for it

I'm going for a close as standard on the interior as i can, i want it back to the way it was when it was made. My car was magnolia full leather with Antelope carpet. The closest i can get is cream with beige ,sounds terrrible i know but it actually works well0. Its tricky on the interior due to the colour of the body. It has to be a light interior really

I know a lot of owners have a cream interior with red body colours and everyone's taste is different but my choice is to have darker trim colours with red bodywork. Cream goes very nicely with blue & green cars but not so much with red (imho).
Anyway, it's your car and I'm sure you'll be very happy with your new trim.

My car is nightfire red, so its pretty dark to be honest. Its magnolia now and i think the trim is a nice contrast with the paint. But like you say its down to taiste. I just really want to see how it looked when it was built, the carpet was faded to purple when i brought it so its never looked that nice

I've previously owned a Chimaera and it was Magnolia / Biscuit interior - albeit on a Oceanhaze exterior, so quite light (ish). The interior colours worked well. Can't wait for the big 'switch-on' with your Tuscan!

Its now at trim unique , the strip down has begun

Note the colour of the original carpet before it faded to light purple. I did dye it but it still looks rough.
