It definitely should be checked at every service. And since the big fire years ago at TVR Power (it was so long ago now I'm not sure it was Power?) batteries used to get disconnected when left overnight for service. So a quick visual check would be easy.
A quick cut and heat-shrink of the cables ?

There are waterproof Anderson connectors - wonder why TVR didn't think of that

I ended up buying new leads and connector and putting in engine compartment, have opening bonnet conversion so makes sense to place it here
