I'm looking for a late model of a 75 Touring CDTI. I'd appreciate anyone's comments and experience's with one.
Thanks in advice.

The later ones were stripped back a bit, the early ones came with the Webasto heaters etc (easy mod for pre heating!) a few common issues, eg clutch release mechs fail. Thermostats stuck open. Rusty brake lines. Other than that pretty much the same issues as e36/e39 BMW's of which much of the tech is based on.

There was a recent thread on here about fixing common faults. Otherwise get on the Rover 75 forum for tech geekery. They are a good comfy car & nice ones hold their value.

Many thanks. You've confirmed pretty much what I thought. Struggling to find one though. Plenty about, but I want the usual perfect low mileage, full history etc. Prepared to pay for it though.

Not forgetting tendancy to drown electrics as scuttle drains block and fill with water.

Plenty of mods described on the 'net to overcome this one though.
