Went to the motorshow yesterday and had a fab time (no I didn't see the Thunderbirds show
, when we went past, one of the Ford chaps was there with his head stuck up a pipe - looked like something had gone pop!
)
We did spend quite a bit of time on the TVR stand, Mr Wheeler chatted to us about the Tuscan S and its headlamps for quite a while
and quite a few of the sales chaps there, although looking slightly stressed at points were really cool. We also checked out the Marcos TS0 (I do like that car - pretty, reminded me of my MGA - weird but true!) very nice people.
We later met the 'Mar' in Marcos, very cool chap who kept running off to impress all the girlies at the other stands!
And we spent ages speaking to the chaps at Farboud. The lovely lady on the stand was a complete petrolhead
and a huge laugh
and was kind enough to introduce us to Arash, whose enthusiasm for what he was doing simply shone from him.
Smashing people, totally stunning, jaw droppingly gorgeous car. I wish them every success.

Have to say fair play to the man. And as it's his idea, his car & his company I think he has chosen the perfect name.
Must disagree with the Clarkson endorsement theory too - never seen him do a favourable review of a TVR, yet it's never harmed their sales. I also saw three Cayenne's in 10 mins this afternoon (despite the fact I agree with his opinion on those things !)

TVR sales are less than half what they were in the Griffith / Chimaera heyday, not to say I think that's anything to do with JC though.
Do you think the Honda HSC & Farboud look similar???????

Speaking of which, he's just launched another new car.

I wish him the best but if I had a spare £150K I would not sink into a kit car with no real heritage.
No doubt the best way of selling these is through their bespoke build nature. Someone in the Middle East is bound to want an 800bhp version with neon lights.
Er... well wishes are a little late. Gone and sold the design to Ginetta, who revised it and launched it as a G60.No doubt the best way of selling these is through their bespoke build nature. Someone in the Middle East is bound to want an 800bhp version with neon lights.
