Cerbera Rolling Road Day - Aug 13th....show me the horses!
Discussion
Not much really, nothing internal. It's had a mapping by Joo, with the inlet manifold ported slightly (I think he removed a lip). ACT manifolds plus the quiet exhaust system. Joo said the exhaust was robbing me of some more horses but I'd rather have the lower noise and driveability. I'll scan my curves tomorrow.
It's always pulled 343-346 before the mapping, always shown 380ish afterwards

That's interesting - I didn't think that finding another 20-30bhp was possible from a 4.2, so I've learnt something new. That's something to bear in mind. It's always pulled 343-346 before the mapping, always shown 380ish afterwards
Well nobody wants to be propping up the list of cerbs but somebody has to do it
At least I can console my self with the fact that mine was by far the shinniest and best looking cerb on display
we all know its all about how it looks not how it goes right ![wink](/inc/images/wink.gif)
Anyway, nice to meet you all and thanks for the words of encouragement! I'm off to Str8six to find some lost horses and get thea clutch fixed. See you again soon for another chin wag and I might just be spotted at SRR in the near future...

Thanks GaragedV8 I don't think we would have noticed that without your eagle eyed spot ![rolleyes](/inc/images/rolleyes.gif)
If I wanted LS power I would buy a Corvette or a Monaro!
Alas no need for you to thank me.![rolleyes](/inc/images/rolleyes.gif)

No need to be so defensive either, I wasn't correcting your post simply chose the most complete list and added some missing description.
I didn't post my personal preference, and didn't ask yours. Why make it personal?
The distinction made is greater than the difference between the AJP6/AJP8.
Can't blame you if your ignorant of the fact, its not your bag, out-sourced design and manufactured engines that were poorly productionised hold your attention?
However making those comments to me sounds like being willfully ignorant/blinkered, are you?
I don't imagine you are, you have a Sagaris so must be at least alittle successful, more so than myself I expect so why so negative? Were you just pandering to forum opinion regarding LS engines?
If so = *clap* *clap* "good one!"
EDIT: removed comment that was personal.
One thing it did for me yesterday was put me off spending money on an engine until I have to.
Also made me think there are good points to Cerbs
If a nice 4.5 comes along I may well take a look now.
BTW there was an supercharged LSx engined Cerb at Wilton today, reg was R xx RBR or BRB I think, anyone here? Sounded absolutely fantastic.

No need to alter a post by changing to bold text to highlight something that is obvious. If the OP wanted to do that then fine and we could send in the three headed dogs.
I've been on this forum long enough to remember the BHP spats that used to go on between grown men. Let's not fall into that trap again and let nobody try and stir things up.

Yes I think yours was shiniest Stu, but once you get the recaro start right in the back you'll find those lost horses ![frown](/inc/images/frown.gif)

Great day y'all!

Hopefully I'll have my Cerb on SRR sometime soon and see how it compares.
Was that a hopeful Hopefully or has it been diagnosed now. When I finally get around to getting mine MOT'd I'll pop along to see uncle Charlie too, as I think the hp may be a bit down but the torque is up, be good to get a comparison anyway.

In that case I am sorry, was not meant to stir up anything. I've been on this forum long enough to remember the BHP spats that used to go on between grown men. Let's not fall into that trap again and let nobody try and stir things up.
Only used bold to highlight the changes made as I was not making a plain quote. I didn't know that everyone was aware what was in both cars?
As is there is no way that a 6.3l cammed/tuned SBC should EVER labeled an LS engine, there are a few LSx engined Cerberas, the one on the dyno had an LS3, those were the points of my post.
Don't care about the engine power argument here or otherwise I would have bold'ed the power figures too if I was.
You know maybe you guys are alittle too sensitive?

Yup but as I said to you yesterday, the 4.2's always made 340-350 in good tune unless you got lucky with a 4.5 bottom registered as a 4.2 then you'd see 360ish. Yours had a beautiful power delivery all the way through, which means it's nicely driveable. You honestly won't notice 10-20 bhp extra on what is a bloody fast car anyway. I'd enjoy it as it is. If it ain't broke...![frown](/inc/images/frown.gif)

Careful mate you'll be getting hate mail in your in box
S'ok, its that or they're all gonna ignore me from now on...Its not like I have been hating on the AJPs, they all made a good showing, Sonny's was within a few HP of the dyno sheet he was given when he got the car, that was teh end of it for me aside from seeing an SBC being labeled an LS.
I'll leave the thread -------------.
