I'm torn between loving the idea of this, and hating it!

I think TVRs lend themselves very well to being converted to EV, lots of space in the transmission tunnel and engine bay, light, and a rust free body.

It's everything I don't want in a sports car, but I absolutely can see the appeal for others.

I chatted to them at Bicester a few months back and enquired. It's one of their employees/engineers and he's been distracted on other work. Not much info then, but he was using chinese motors and batteries, with the plan to have it rapid charging in 20 mins or so. It was going to be short range, track/race days weapon.
Ok it’s Steve Heaths car, so I assume he is part of this outfit.

Yep it’s the same chap who did the Cerbera LS engine conversions, the manuals for Griffiths etc and various electronic and bolts things etc.

Probably a good thing lol
I’m all for modifying cars but retro fitting those heavy batteries into a tubular chassis that was barely strong enough as it was. I can imagine the possible accident wreckage to be rather lethal compared to a properly designed crash tested electric vehicle.
Have you seen the size of the front brake calipers fitted to electric vehicles!

I don’t see the point in any of these classic car conversions - as you the safety issues are a key consideration, as are the driving dynamics and of course the cost….if you want an EV then buy one.

It was planned to be a sprint vehicle, with rapid recharging for between rounds, hence low battery capacity

They are usually at Bicester, missed this weekend but maybe someone ask next time?

I can’t see Steve Heath on the website anymore - he was the CTO (love big job titles in small companies!). Wonder if he is still involved and if the Cerbera is therefore mothballed.

Like a full size Tamiya r/c electric buggy then.
Electric cars I just think scalextric or r/c buggies.

Anyone got companies house stuff? Steve used to own a lot of shares in them. Wasn't a big company, maybe he's moved onto something else? His early little bits and upgrades for the Cerbera were excellent.

Except his LS v8 conversions. They weren’t good at all.
