My second hanger snapped on the way back from the Milbrook weekend, not on the alpine circuit - weird. I thought it was my welded one, but nope thats still strong, it's the other side.
So I'm going to try something else. Poly hangers with a metal bush to go through. 100mm stainless bar, going into a rose joint. Should give me lots of adjustment, all stainless so should last.

Now completed. I've gone back to the rubber mounts because the poly mounts had wider shaped holes to take the standard bracket, and so the stainless bush was too loose in it.
It's complete overkill but works really well, along with adjusting all the exhausts so they put minimum pressure on the mounts. I found the bobbin rubber at the end of the center pipes missing, which wouldn't have helped. Thats in now as well.
Don't of course forget the cable ties...

As mentioned there, it has its strengths and weaknesses, for me it hits the sweet spot.
I considered 4 poster, 2 poster, scissor, mid lift, tilting and single sided, in the end I chose the scissor as :
a)I'm a hobbiest, it isn't going to be used everyday.
b)When not in use I can't see it, so it doesn't get in the way.
c)The arms extend out to all 4 corners of the Cerb chassis.
d)Lifting those heavy spiders off at waist height is worth its weight in gold
e)Easy access to all suspension components.
The list goes on.....
Something like an oil change is easy, if you reverse on! here you can see the rams get in the way when driven on forwards.
The Cerb is too low to drive over it, so I made up some ramps, make sure its height allows the arms to swing out when it's fully down.

I’ve finally taken delivery of my scissor lift and I’m in the process of setting up ramps for the car and steel strips for the rollers to run on. I’m I bit surprised the arms won’t reach to the front and rear corners of the outriggers. I think I remember in one of your posts you said you’d made wooden blocks with cut-outs to pick up on specific points on the chassis. Any chance I can have the details?
The price had gone up a few hundred quid as a result of…well..everything. Still good value for 450kg of lift and great service from BH Repairs.
I know this is an old thread, but I just wanted to thank everyone for the ideas on how to align my sports exhaust correctly and permanently. It was so bad that it was resting on the anti-roll bar and the right tailpipe was putting the pipe clamp under a lot of stress. I need to find some fully threaded M10 bolts or some threaded rod to be able to finish it properly, but I'm happy with the result.
I used the polyurethane hangers and luckily I had a piece of barstock measuring 10x20mm, so I rounded the corners of the last 30mm so it wouldn't cut the polyurethane, drilled a couple of 10mm clearance holes and stuck it in the hangers. Here's a pic:
