Hi all,
You are not going to believe this but the guy who purchased the 4.2 Cerbera last week has had enough as it " did not drive well during his trip from home to work" - 6 whole urban jungle miles in the rush , sorry crawl , hour! Guess what , a dealer from down south rushed up on the same day - today - and bought it. I will wait to see what price he puts on it.I suppose that's the end of the thread.

Be very interesting. sounds like it will still have to be very cheap to sell on.

I don't think the issues with Cerberas are down to reliability as such, just TVR's attitude towards disgruntled customers. I've heard of plenty of Porkers breaking down but it's the way Porsche fix the problem and look after their customers that's important. Generally from what I've heard TVR don't give a toss. The dealers can't afford to give a toss because TVR don't want to pay them for the work they've done etc etc. It's a vicious circle and it's the end-user that suffers. If TVR had a more friendly attitude then there'd be a lot less disapointed owners out there.

I owned a 4.2 Cerbera from new for seven months and put 7,000 miles on it. It never missed a beat and was getting quicker. I really miss that car and once I've sold my Chimaera this year (hopefully) I'll be shipping a used 4.5 Cerbera over from the UK. My local mechanic will look after it mainly because I know he won't rip me off and he will take advice from people who know better. He's done a great job of looking after the Chimaera so far and when he does a job it's right first time, all for $35.00NZD per hour (or a tenner to you!).
