The rev limiter in 5th is 171mph as standard and the car was often advertised with a 170mph+ top speed. I think the v8 had a different final drive (gearing) so can go higher. Not much to do with power, just rev limits.

The rev limiter starts beeping at 7400? And just keeps getting more frantic...says the man who ran through the 3/4 mile in 4th at 155

This is taken from the EVO magazine 1999-2000 data.

Official Cerbera brochure from 1998.
All 3 engines specs given as 160+
4.5 engine has the 0-150 mph as additional info.

Blimey, that’s over 180mph in 5th! Not sure mine would last long at 7400rpm though. Nor would my pants for that matter!
