I've been thinking about the Capristo over the weekend, after being taken out in a Capristo equipped car.

I'm not sure I like the transition between low revs and high revs.

It's very neat at low revs, very discrete. But there's a big transition that seemed almost instant at around 4k revs. This was on a "level 1 with cats", so maybe it'd be different with a different set up.

But I think for me the Tubi edges it. There is some boominess for a couple of hundred revs somewhere between 2.5 and 3.5k revs, but it's easy to live with. And the noise is very linear. It also get significantly better with age.

Yep, the Capristo (mine is with cats) is very much onoff, I personally like this, as if i want to subtley drive out of a car park i can, rather than passers by thinking i'm about to launch it!

My only criticism is that it has a tendency to bellow a little under load in high gears. No problem when you're spanking it but when warming the car up and trying to keep the revs down, a little waring.

The noise above 5000rpm though

Nah ---the ITO is the best ..... but expensive..... Capristo better value for money and i still love the Tubi noise...but ITo adn MS make the best sounding exhausts in the business and the rarity of them only increases the appeal.... it means your car doesnt sound like a hundred other peoples....
