I just posted an article updating Aston, Ferrari, and McLaren's business results and situation. It's not at all pretty.
Thanks, a very interesting and informative read.

I think there’ll be a fair few impulse, treat myself purchases to start with by people who dont have money concerns, theres 2-3 months of summer fun to be had and lifes too short, after that period its going to get dodgy, especially when the 2nd wave comes.

Just read a comment from a representative of one of the major dealer groups in The Times...citing that their LR dealership in Hatfield sold four cars yesterday but apparently in Europe things have tailed off again after an initial busy few days.

so many mixed messages on this thread, and the same with the one in the general section. One minute its all gone down the toilet and everything is worth 2p right down to prices have not moved from pre-covid and sensible priced exotics are selling and selling well confused

Spoken to several high end dealers in the last couple of days. It seems that pent-up demand is releasing itself upon a relatively small number of cars and they are selling well.

I wonder whether the same will be true in October.

I intended to put my 360 up for sale as soon as it was serviced in March, but didn't bother due to lockdown.
However, I know of a McLaren that sold in the last week or so and a few other posts make me think that maybe cars are selling after all. Seems I really should make the effort to put an advert together.

I'd do it now. I don't think it will last.

I can well believe that. There are a minority of people who a very well insulated form all this and still want a new toy to add to the collection to use for the remainder of the summer. However, the vast majority who buy on finance are starting to feel the pain. GFV's are down the toilet already and that means monthly payments have shot up on new purchases, unless dealers respond to this buy reducing stock by circa 10 to 15% the 75K to 250K super car market will stagnate.

I've been trying to get back into another Ferrari for the last few days.

My Bentley has just been decimated. Trade bids 20k less than pre lockdown. It's making paying non adjusted list a bitter pill to swallow and I don't think I can stomach it.

The dealers all seem super busy though tbh.

are they using covid and market conditions as a reason?

Bentayga no? They seem to be doing a brisk trade in GTCs and I am sure paying good money for them.

Perhaps put it with an agent?

I hate to say it....but I agree, if you are going to try and sell its now - still early summer, the weathers great, not that many people have really grasped whats happened and the governments throwing money around.

...I want another Ferrari , but i'm sitting it out until October …..they wont be going up and the risk is all to the downside.

I stuck it up for sale this afternoon. Costs very little to advertise so apart from the inevitable time wasters, there seemed to be no reason to stop me trying.
It will sell or it won't.

Are you surprised? - dealers are going to use this as much to their advantage as possible -that's business
They will offer low citing the CV19 effect and downturn in the economy on your 'undesirable' car and then in the next breath tell you they can't offer you a reduction on other inventory because 'the market is buoyant' and 'they ,coincidentally ,already have 2 firm offers on the very car you are interested in so you'd better snap it up now or you will miss it'

hasn't it always been thus?
