A censored Nova currently at £3k!!! Forget Covid, Brexit, the finanical crisis, rioting, the lot....this is proof the world has gone mad.
If 2nd division hot hatches like 106 GTis and MG Metros can go for £12k+, then a low mileage SR that's not been Max Powered is easily £9k+

Nice one 500 Miles - I was looking at the ‘sold’ listings before coming over to see what’s happening on this thread and saw it and though “sweet Jesus, that’s gorgeous”. Definitely new thread worthy beer

Last summer a good early SR was £15k-£20k, Nova Sports considerably more.

What would you have gone for?

I was considering respraying or wrapping gold and going for the Classic Gold 993 look that Porsche did a couple of years back. Purists would obviously hate it!

Shout if you have any recommendations.

Congrats on the turbo - looks amazing. Definitely look forward to a separate thread on it.

How long does it take for CC to list an auction as sold? i was watching a diablo and missed the final price. This was a few days ago now and have yet to see it in the sold section.

Does anyone know what the Diablo bid to?

Ah, but i didn't see a reserve notice on it or is that not something CC show?

Last bid i saw it was at £92k (plus £6k). i know that top gear specialist listed it 4 years ago for sale at £110k. Looked like it needed about £10k worth of fettling/work.

Am keeping an eye on that Nova. Has to be nearing £10k by the end of the auction I think.

I was almost going to get involved but it went to £6k pretty quickly!

This later Mk1 one went for £11k at CCA a couple of weeks ago, similarly low mileage, although with wheel trims (darker versions of what I had on my 1990 1.2 "Fling" special edition). I was sure alloys were standard on SR by that stage.... https://www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/events/2020-a...

I’m wondering if it would make sense, in the case of the reserve not being met, to offer the car at the reserve price to the highest bidder? I was the highest bid on a car recently, but unfortunately didn’t meet the reserve. If the difference wasn’t great, I may have considered increasing the bid to meet the reserve.

Imagine how much it would have been worth if it was in a light gold colour.

A champagne super nova.
