Well, I had a trader offer me £65K for my Series II last week (which I dismissed out of hand!) so I'd say a good series 1 is worth way more.
Thing is, without looking VERY closely it's hard to distinguish the best from the merely superficially smart and the former will be worth twice the latter. I'd never buy one sight unseen unless it was really cheap and worth a punt which is why I suspect this one didn't sell.

And later S1s and SIIs are much more comfortable to drive than the earlier cars like this one. I've done non-stop 2-300 mile trips in mine with no comfort issues at all.

I’d lobe an E Type....think they’re stunning but buying something like that without a proper inspection is just daft. Really think a third party PPI would be money well sent for a seller on CC with this kind of car.

If it was a series 2 fixed head I wouldn’t have dismissed it!

Completely agree on the difference between absolute minters in peak fettle, and everything else, but this looked like a £60-70k car to me. Throw £20k+ at it and you may get your money back but you’re only 1 hidden horror away from a loss.

Also agree, that the later S1 and S2 are more comfortable but early cars have a certain something. I even prefer the early seats (that get slated) because you actually feel like you’re sitting in the car rather than on it!

Who buys exceptionally rare luggage for a LaFerrari? Under what circumstances would that happen? You had just enough for the car but couldn’t stretch to the bags? Schedoni were very canny to produce a few spare sets.

74k all in for the 540c seems fair for a 4yr old car out of warranty...

Genuinely thought it would struggle to make 70k including fees.

Next interesting result will be the LHD 997.1 GT3 RS, especially considering there is an unsold one on the open market.

Anyone viewing the market.co.uk as well?

I agree....think it’s just stunning. Listened to a Podcast the other day with one of the guy’s who has been with Eagle from the beginning....some of the engineering effort they go to is ridiculous !

I thought the bidding would of been far stronger on this one, been slow to get it up to £65k. Still two days left mind, wouldn’t shock me if it jumps at the end as their is plenty of watchers.

It’s auction fever, there was a beautiful white LHD RS in the classifieds for about six months last year. It apparently sold but the asking price was only £89k.

There’s an orange LHD one on the open market even now at £87k.

At least those two cars will come with some form of warranty.

Beautiful car but big money. Mate of mine had a 355 Spyder in TDF with Tan interior back when they were new....stunning car.

I haven't seen it but hopefully not the same TDF 355 that has been doing the rounds for the past ten years with progressively lower mileages every time it's offered for sale!!!

Not really cool casting shade over this particular car unless one knows for certain it's the actual car your talking about.
Has anyone any facts or proof this is the said car?
Every one knows how easy it is to sully a particular ferrari just with throw away comments. Just saying.

Apologies if stated bluntly but the fact remains any buyer of a 355 should do their due diligence. Many of the cars out there seem to have accrued zero mileage in a decade. Having looked at the link this is not the car I was thinking of.
