What are the experts here thinking about the F12Berlinetta on CC, currently on 95k£ with 4 hours to go?
Sounds like a bargain except it is LHD and imported from Dubai - but I can imagine someone who takes the risk might be able to drive this a year and then sell without big loss to mainland Europe?
In Germany ask for 2013 berlinetta with 30-40k miles are around 165-170k Euro = 150-155k £...
Let’s see how much it goes further up...

Looked good value to me (96.5k) - what was wrong?Sounds like a bargain except it is LHD and imported from Dubai - but I can imagine someone who takes the risk might be able to drive this a year and then sell without big loss to mainland Europe?

There is a thread in the Ferrari v12 forum - brake change at 10k miles and gearbox change at 14k miles indicates it might have been raced hard or abused on its first 10k miles in Dubai... nonetheless someone probably got a great deal...

The F12 is this morning no longer in the "sold" section of the website
The website crashed close to the auction ending! Maybe the seller found out & pulled out?i do think the website needs to explain discrepancies like that. Simply for transparency. otherwise it descends into another used car lot parallel and doesn't give potential bidders the confidence the site deserves.
It's situations like this that gives me the creeps and allows for the winners curse discussion.
why would you trust CC to be accurate and truthful about anything if they can't even explain or be upfront about sellers pulling out, or bidders not following through or any side deals. It's ok for them to make money if both parties decide a side deal but it should be disclosed. No one polices CC, not a regulator and CC chooses to disclose what it wants, hence unless cars are much cheaper than any dealer (which has a comeback), it MUST always be buyer beware.

Now that the F12 has been taken down I will share my thoughts. All of this is based on theory and not any facts.
Super Cars from Dubai often have much higher mileage on them. It’s known you can bag a bargain as a result. The mileage of this one is not documented while it was out there. But, the brakes needed changing at a lot lower mileage than you would expect according to the dash. Where else is the mileage stored? Conveniently the other component that has been changed.......the transmission.
I suspect CC pulled the listing until evidence of low mileage can be produced. I’m not saying this car has been clocked. But, until some one shows me paper work it is looking and sounding like a duck to me.

I am not a Ferrari expert but there were also a few cracks in the seat leather - which might indicate either more usage, but I don’t know - perhaps the hot weather and sunshine in Dubai is harsher on leather as well...Super Cars from Dubai often have much higher mileage on them. But even if real miles were 20-30k at 97k would still be value for money...

Like I said, I give it a few months at best. Ridiculous business idea that makes no sense. Who's stupid enough to front the cash for this experiment?
I agree, IMO this glossy website could be used to put the finest dress on the ugliest pig. Perfect for certain Keighley supercar dealers who can't shift the worst of the worst via their multi storey car lot, track slags (there was one on there the other week) and ex hire cars.As for imported cars, I would never buy via an online auction site. Mileages and crash damage are too easily hidden.
I'd rather give a dealer an extra £25k+ (which might provide some comeback/warranty) than spend that trying to fix a cheap car that will then be almost impossible to sell on.

Well said. There should be comeback on the sale if the car bought from CC has mileage or damage discrepancies. As for imported cars, I would never buy via an online auction site. Mileages and crash damage are too easily hidden.
