At a minimum they should be giving you half the commission.
They can't, the amount of fraud that followed would be horrific.

You list your car that you don't want to sell, I'll bid it to the moon on a stolen card and we'll split your 50% of the commission you get when I don't complete.
It's a fair point but how many people who own £100k cars are going to get involved in that for £1500 ? I assume they do check who ID's on people who own cars and that they are who they say they are. Plus if it happened more than once or twice that people were using stolen cards they'd soon get suspended themselves.

Looks like it! Gone now... biggrin

That looks like a cracking example though - they're getting crazy rare now.

Great cars...I had one from new for 8 years, wish I’d kept it!

I also had one from new back in 1999 and one of the best handling cars i've ever owned. Unfortunately my girlfriend hated going in it as it was too noisy and hard riding so sold it after only nine months. One of Honda's greatest ever cars with the best Recaro seats and amazing solid Titanium gear knob.

My girlfriend was of a similar mindset! Now married, car didn’t make it....

Was my only car 98-2006, then bought an RS4 and only had room for one car parked outside house. Took the Integra to pick up a takeaway one night, and unplanned sold it for £2k in £20 notes and free fish and chips for 6 months....

Looking back, that was a bit rash.

Brilliant FWD car, king of controllable lift off oversteer.

Great cars but don't they have an issue with rot? And hiding it in inaccessible places.

It was astonishingly great fun to drive and the easily induced lift off oversteer was a delight and safe to do on public roads.

Wasn’t an issue in 2006!

Anyone noticed yet another Ferrari whereby friends and colleagues of the owner are bidding the price up!
Not for the first time.
Tried to bring to the attention of CC that numerous cars were being misdescribed and didn’t even respond.
This has to be a Covid novelty as no reasonable explanation as to why bidders paying as much for a car with no guarantees whatsoever as opposed to similar or lower price from a reputable garage.
Also any number of private sellers that are in reality dealers.
Any thoughts?

Auctions know this is going on,they don't care as long as they get their commission,

Before On Line auctions the auctioneer would take bids of the wall to get it nearer to the reserves, still do ,no different to friends bidding up the price on line really ,been going on for years.

I can't believe this one. Golf gti mk 2 £16k + 6% commission, Why?

Think we are still in a summer bubble ,see what happens when the clock goes back and it's dark and cold at 4 o'clock.

Check out the fist bread van. That’s been listed a few times. May be a perfect partner for the golf.
Manual, hard work to drive, noisy. A real drivers car😂

Quite a few times to begin with...then I started to think I might look greedy and started paying again!
Still go there now from time to time, same guys.

I've noticed a few adverts recently where in the description, it states "3+ owners" whereas in reality it is significantly more (in this case, 9!). Seems a little disingenuous to me, when the adverts are generally well described (compared to a standard advert at least) and give an impression of being up front and honest, to hide information like this.

Ref. today's silver 991.1 GT3 on Collecting Cars, it has disappeared off their website. What a joke. Did the bidding go much higher than £72k? Looked like a very low mile, mint car albeit no roll cage or race seats. A real shame Collecting Cars don't tell the whole truth by displaying and retaining on display ALL bids on ALL cars, whether they sell or not. Bring a Trailer do this. Most annoying and IMHO unprofessional, in this day and age.

I think it had a service and a mot due, small points but equally minor things the seller should have sorted prior to listing (to build confidence).

I assume the auction ended and it didn't sell, hence why it is no longer listed.
