I need to transport my SORN 612 Scaglietti to a specialist for a new clutch. I have been quoted a good price by Dan Car Logistics, who seems very active on Instagram, but I have never met him - does anyone on here have experience of this company, which is based in Manchester?

Thanks

Robert

I checked that too - the new co (DCL Shipping Ltd) started trading in May 2019 when the old one was dissolved.

That company has no accounts.

So you need cast iron insurance for your motor just in case, l’d ring your broker, don’t rely on theirs.
Additionally you want collect and deliver same day.

Good luck, let us know what you decide.

Thanks - my broker is aware. Hopefully will get the insurance confirmation soon and see how it looks.

I think I’d be looking elsewhere given the companies house info posted above

Not the cheapest but Virginia Water/Cars would be my only choice. Super reliable and very careful with your car.

Hello,

I’m happy to quote if needs be? Established 33 years with fully comprehensive insurance for vehicles up to a value of £250,000. I could scan and forward a copy of our Goods in Transit certificate if needs be.

Merseyside based, so local to Manchester. I’ve moved several Ferrari, but not yet a 612. Open or enclosed transport available.

Kind regards...

If it's a local trip you're probably better off using a local company. One of the managers of this company is local to me http://www.lanternrecovery.com/ and I've used them lots over the years. I'd be very wary of getting involved with a bankrupt outfit, there may well be drama no matter how good your insurance is.

All sorted now, thanks guys! Have booked Box Fast who seem to have a very good reputation and are based locally to the car.
