Just a heads up chaps in case you see one on the market soon - returning home tonight, I discovered that someone has stolen my covercraft car cover from outside my house on the car. They used sharp instruments to cut around the padlock keeping the cover secure underneath the body. Why would someone take a Ferrari 348 tailored cover - particularly on a quiet residential street in Barnes - until now an area I thought was one of the safest in London? It bemuses me what someone would do with such a low volume production Ferrari cover - spite? Jealousy? Surely not to use or sell on? It was a blank boring grey dirty looking thing...

Rant over - sorry folks, very peed off - after someone driving into the side of it and not leaving a note, now this after 3 months, I think the people who said to me on an old thread many months ago don't keep a nice car on the roadside are right, but I still can't believe there are so many low lifes in the UK today.

Fiat punto here I come...

Adi- sorry to hear about that, but I can't help thinking 'stuff the cover, at least the car's OK'. Theft is one thing, deliberate vandalism another.

Kev mate,

You are up early every morning. How do you manage it. It's 03:25 here and I can't sleep before 4am to save my life

From what you say about cutting away from the padlock can it be assumed that they have damaged the car cover? I'd be worried in case they were setting up for another attack on your car. Just keep an eye out. At least they never actually did anything to the car.

Good point ninja - a deliberate theft means there must be someone sourcing bits for ferrari market hence I am now worried the car may be at risk. 2 options as I see it... find a lock up or sell it if I am to sleep at night. That's the nature of the society we live in eh So much for Barnes being a safe area...

btw craig, who does your servicing?

Sorry to hear about it mate, but I know EXACTLY how you feel as I had my car cover (cover craft too) stolen last Tuesday off my RX-7. On Monday night the scroates stole the valve caps and let down one of the tyres to make it look like a puncture and on Tuesday stole the car cover.

If I ever get my hands on them....

Since then I've moved my RX-7 to a nearby friends garage as I don't drive it everyday..but the next house I buy will definately have a garage.

Last sunday some scroats wer seen taking photos of my cars in my Flat's Car park. I have had about enough of the unwanted attraction these cars attract from lobotomised tw@s.
