What do the owners of real 355's think???
I have seen two or three of these 355 replicas, once with Manu in the West End, where him and another mate of mine starting chanting "nice MR2, go on floor that lovely MR2 etc, etc" and the poor bloke legged it quick time to avoid any further embarrasment.
Another one I saw was on the M4 coming to Chiswick after having been done to Manu's to see/hear a tubi being fitted (and watch him first hand harrass the lady female population of Egham). He got alongside me and started smiling and staring. I just thought, well if that cooks your goose then well, good luck to you,.... you sad bastard! . Anyway, they look so awful they're only good enough for fooling very dumb birds to get a shag out of them (and why not?) or really thick guys where they really can't tell the difference. Either way, in decent company you will look a fool with one of these. So, in answer, no it doesn't bother me. If they look 70% close to the real thing then maybe I'd feel different. But then there's still that god damn sound!
Found the Evening Standard arcticle.
Ferrari 355 replica owner Steve Quaif reckons his car is just as good as the real thing. In fact, when he was out in it once, he was asked by a schoolboy if he was Formula One star Ralf Schumacher.
Quaif, 25, who lives close to Hallmark Cars in Chingford, says: "I have driven a number of real Ferraris and the replica is every bit as good.
"The replica 355 is totally reliable, being Japanese. Servicing is cheap and, with limited mileage insurance, premiums are only £350. The preformance is excellent too."
Quaif reckons his replica has the edge in terms of usability, and even claims that it's better than the original in some respects.
Owners of the real thing won't agree, but it's unlikely that they'll get any more fun from their mega-expensive supercars than Quaif does from his pretend prancing horse-mobile.
I dont know what Ferrari's this bloke has driven but if he reckons an MR2 is better than I imagine he has only driven them on his playstation. In fact I wonder if he reckons his MR2 ferrari is better than a normal MR2. Because you have Ferrari wheels doesnt mean you have a Ferrari. Argh!

Kev - I think its much better than the original if you want a Japanese car - real Ferrari cant compete Im afraid
Maranello - Ferrari's build quality really has gone out the window. You would have thought that they would have made an effort with the F50.
So if I work on the same logic as the MR2 boys, if I stick a Ferrari badge on the other halfs Rover, will it suddenly become and much better car?

That F50-wannabe thing is almost unbelievable....... No I'm sorry but that thing is a shitty disgrace - NOT because it's a replica - NO - But because with the amount of money that was probably sunk into making it, the idiot who owns the replica could have got himself a REAL Ferrari.
Its a fukcing automotive abomination - IT LOOKS ABSOLUTELY SHIT.
Apologies again but that Quaif guy from the evening standard is a FCUKING DICK.
