Interesting thread.

It seems that rarity is one of the key factors for supercar definition , hence the R8 "dropping down" to sports car status.

How about an Ariel Atom?
It doesn't hit the price marker, being about half the price of the R8, but the performance is superior to the R8 and is much rarer and more impractical.

My record is not much better and maybe worse. I do enjoy these "it's a supercar, no it's not " threads. However I think the OP wanted to daily a special/supercar.
