Admittedly, I haven't seen one in the flesh yet but from lots of pictures and videos, it's a £3 million hypercar car that has the looks of a £200k supercar at best !!
I think that’s the point. It’s the Patek Philippe Minute Repeater of cars. Not an iced up Rolex Daytona. People will buy this for the engineering and philosophy. Not to poss in Knightsbridge. I won't say it's the best car, but it's the most interesting to me. However, these flaws that are mentioned? The passenger seats aren’t the most spacious chairs to spend time in and the noise at cruising speed. Dario Franchiti said that the guys from the team were talking about making it a little wider but Murray didn't want to. The car is presented as a practical supercar for short and long trips. So I'm not sure if these two flaws are minor. What's your opinion? Is there enough room for passengers and is it too loud when driver wants a relaxed ride? Thanks

probably the best video to understand the noise from inside the cabin. Epic. The couple of times he shifts into 5th, and the intake changes to a gargle are spectacular!

Seen that before, it's glorious. I think I prefer the tone of the V12 from the McLaren F1, but I certainly wouldn't complain.... probably the best video to understand the noise from inside the cabin. Epic. The couple of times he shifts into 5th, and the intake changes to a gargle are spectacular!
I think the sound of the T50 and F1 are often incomparable. The T50 goes up to 12 thousand rpm and when it changes gear it starts again at about 9 thousand. And the revs probably climb twice as fast as f1. If the F1 is in third gear, the T50 should probably be in fifth at the same speed to be comparable.

The noise character won't be defined just by the rpm, the firing order etc will effect that, and they're different. Hear a T50 pulling from a standstill and even low rpm they sound very different
right. thank you. but I'm not sure if I explained it well. in the videos with the t50 on the track we hear high revs where the f1 can't go. some people comment that they like the f1 sound better. but the high revs are just an extra sound of what the f1 has. another type of video is the one Catchpol has where he steps on the gas from second or third gear. roughly according to my calculations if the f1 and t50 were side by side in third gear at 40 mph, the f1 would be at about 2500 rpm and the t50 at 4500 rpm. you press the gas on both all the way down and by the time the t50 hits the hard limiter the f1 is only at 6500 rpm.
also the t50 starts at higher revs, flies towards the redline and by the time the f1 gets to 4500 rpm the t50 is already in the 8500 rpm zone where the f1 can't go. so to get as close as possible with T50 to the sound f1 has you need to shift into fifth gear at 40 mph to drop to 2500 rpm and be in a gear that won't climb that fast and press the gas all the way down. i'm not sure i've seen that on any video of someone pressing the gas all the way down in fifth gear. or if f1 is in fifth the t50 should be in the longer sixth. again as you say the sound could be completely different but as i see it it's a way to test if the t50 has similar f1 noise
