Bloody hell, I could have written that!

Only thing on the modern front I’ve considered is the DBS cabriolet but I wouldn’t get rid of the 720 for it.

The Maserati Cielo is a good shout but still rare as rocking horse and a 720 spider is still better imo.

Welp. Just bought the 720 spider because no news about the 750. Today I get an email confirming the slot and promising November delivery. November this year. Possibly the 720 wasn't the most intelligent purchase of my life, then... Since I'm mostly travelling this year, I may be looking at an all-time record for depreciation per mile driven. Oops.

Very pleased to you, as a quiet bystander I’ve been looking forward to seeing how this all played out. Keen to see the 750 when you have pictures. All the best.

Absolutely brilliant - an absolute tour de force amongst the doom and gloom that's on these forums at the moment smile

Love that colour, especially with the silver wheels, very similar to Mediterranean Blue from maserati, one of my faves.

I much prefer silver wheels, they look so clean.

Looking good, my friend. I'll admit to adding the soundtrack to my video partly to replace my inadvertent comments. Email me your vid if you want the same treatment. Which red is that?

I see you went for the louvres. I havered and then decided I preferred the look without. What's your impression now you've seen it in the flesh? I note that all of the press cars had them.

Bit of a report now I've had the car a week.

It's a noticeable improvement over the 720 in the general liveability stuff.
The comfort entry is much crisper, the previous one could be a bit vague and it was easy to miss the slot. The Speedy Kiwi button is a dream, one press sets up everything how I like it. I seem to have lucked out with the Start/Stop thing because whether the button is on or off it never activates so I don't have to faff with that. General dash layout and Iris settings took a bit of adjusting but I prefer how it is now. I can play music from my phone over bluetooth now which I don't think I could before.
The whole system can still sometimes take a minute to wake up which is a pain but not show stopping.
964Cup mentioned the Days of Battery life thing to me and I understand now, mines doing the same, won't go above 28 days when it clearly should do judging by the gauge, if both our cars are doing that then that'll need looking at.
Rear view camera is useless but that's not a McLaren thing, I just don't like them in general.

In driving terms it's a real improvement.
I am very careful with running in so I can't speak to the performance yet but for pootling about it's really good, and the 720 was very good already. The Comfort handling and Power is a joy, it's just so smooth and positive, everything just feels sorted and nailed down. It honestly feels like you're cruising about in a Bentley or something.

In all ways the car just feels like it's been tightened up, like they've worked through the list of niggles from the previous models and sorted each one.

I went for the Louvres just to mix it up a bit. I've had two 720's and it was just a small option to highlight that it's a different model, only for my own perception, I doubt anyone who isn't properly into McLarens will tell this car apart from a 720.
I saw the body coloured Louvres on the demo car and didn't like them so I went CF, I have a fair bit of CF on this one and it just looks right to continue that across the car. Well, to me anyway. I think they really work well with the Volcano Red as well.

From what I've seen of reviews it's going to be a blast when I get to hit the throttle so I'll do another update then if anyone is interested.

And on a dhead note, I had those really flashy Star Wars looking wheels that cost a fortune, I've already managed to munge one of them up on a curb in under 300 miles.
I've been buying these ridiculous cars for years you'd really think I would have learnt to drive by now. getmecoat

So a question for you two 750s owners - is it worth the premium over the 720S? My 720S Coupe is 3 years old in March and I’m thinking, stick or twist? At low to mid £300’s, it seems like a massive jump, for not a massive gain?.

For context I’ve also got a Pista and a DBS, so have different stuff, but if I want to change the 720, then it feels like MC20 is pretty much it, as I’m not a Lambo fan or a track day nut

Decisions, decisions…
