Hello everybody,

Just wanted to post this here since I remember that some of you here were interested about it when talked about last year. Sadly I don´t have all email adresses of you (Eli, Kevin, Richard etc...) so I couldn´t mail the programm to you directly.
NOTE: This is not a commercial event or something. It is planned as a pure fun weekend without any snobish "0wners only" BLA BLA...
So here is how it´s planned!

Time: 19th to 22th of June 2003

Programm:

Thursday:

Till 1500: Individual arrival at hotel
Rheinhotel Dreesen or
Gästehaus Petersberg
Around 1630: Corso with the cars to Schumachers cart track where the indoor track can be used for some racing with carts to warm up for the next day.
Afterwards or before: Guided tour through the personal Schumacher museum with a collection of some of their F1 cars etc.
At around 2100: Drive back to Bonn to have some Kölsch at a beergarden directly at the river Rhine or at a nice wine yard near the hotel.

Friday:

Drive to the famous Nordschleife of the Nürburgring in a corso via a nice route through the Ahr valley
Lunch at Steinheuers Restaurant in the middle of the Ahrtal in Bad Neuenahr (2 Michelin Star restaurant)
Around 1500: Guided tour through the big Nürburgring Motorsport Museum at the Grand Prix track
Between 1730 and 1930: Free practise at the Nordschleife
Around 1800: Drive back to Bonn in Corso via the valley of the Ahr which is a nice wine area
Around 2030: Dinner at the "Il Punto" which has been the favourit italian restaurant of Helmut Kohl. The italian owner will definitely organise something nice for some Ferrari tifosi

Saturday:

Drive to the Nordschleife in a corso
Free Practise the whole day again to really get to know this tremendously difficult track better
Around 1600: Drive back to Bonn with a small halt at the most well known wine yard of the Ahr the "Deutzerhof" with a small wine degustation if possible
Around 2100: Farewell party at my appartment with an italian Buffet and open end

Sunday:

Individual departure
or visit of the famous Beethoven Museum in Bonn
or The small but nice Von Trips Racing museum in Kerpen
or Free practise at the Nordschleife

Costs:

Hotel: Gästehaus Petersberg (5 Star hotel) or
Rheinhotel Dreesen (4 Star hotel)
Costs should be around 130 Euro per day and room incl breakfast. Group discount is possible so the more people attending the cheaper it will get

Track fee:
1 lap: 14 Euro
5 laps: 56 Euro
12 laps: 143 Euro
Again it might be possible to get a group discount.

Travel expenses, food, drinks, etc:
Depends, museums should be around 5 Euro, cart rental
around 80 Euro.

We already have around 10-15 Ferraris at hand but it would still be nice to get some more of course
Would really be nice to welcome some Pistonheads guys from the UK for the meeting.
By the way: Amar and Luigi from this board want to attend as well

Con saluti cordialissimi,
Jens Haller

P.S. Manu: My decatted 348 with the TUBI and the K&N sounds awesome and loud like hell
Really great I bought the TUBI from you. Hope the police doesn´t hear me when going full throttle through Bonn downtown...

Hi Jens,

what a Scandinavian name - you don't happen to from up north do you..?

Am seriously tempted by your weekend. Is there a deadline for booking and how do I go about it? Its the weekend after Le Mans... dare I ask at home..? hmmm

Anyone else tempted from UK?

Bebessen,

My parents just liked the name, I guess. Actually I am not coming from scandinavia!
I am organising the whole thing because the Nürburgring is just around the corner for me.
Whole thing will happen as followed:
I am talking to the hotel, the Nürburgring management and the Schumacher cart track, restaurants etc. to negotiate about possible group discounts and reservation.
Everything can then be paid by you directly to the hotel etc. when coming.
Only thing I would like to know is whether you come or not. No reservation fee or pre pay!
There are already some people coming fom the UK like Amar and Bernhard from this board.
Hope that Manu and "his" bunch of TUBI fanatics join us as well...
Would be nice to know who really likes to attend till end of this month to begin to negotiate with the people from hotel etc.

Charlie,

Of course you don´t necessarily need to bring a Ferrari. It would be nice but as long as you share the same "passione" for the cars with the cavallino you are welcome for sure...

Con saluti cordialissimi,
Jens Haller

Jens,

I'd bring a 360 with a Tubi... Manu has seen to that.
I lasted 3 months without!

Its either Le Mans the weekend before or Nurburgring - haven't quite decided yet.

Will let you know in due course.

Cheers

Pretty much the same with me, 360 with a tubi and doing either Le Mans or this, the reason I ask about cars is that I wanted to persuade my brother along with his Noble

Brian and Charlie,

Would be really nice to have you aboard!
Why not doing both if you can´t decide?
Two historical circuits and at the Nürburgring you can really track your car at the Nordschleife...
