There's a new program called Dream Machine on Wednesday at 8pm, Channel 5. Mark what's-his-face who does all the Born/Reborn series and a team of people will restore one car per week, and give it away to a viewer.

This week rumour has it that a Ferrari 308's being given away (exact model unspecified)

Also had a preview of 5th Gear on the same trailer and one of the programmes is smashing a Volvo head on into another car at 60mph.

It's what should happen to all Volvo's in my opinion but I think they are actually demonstrating what happens when 2 objects with a 120mph close speed meet.

As if we couldn't already guess!!!

Surely then they should be using a Skoda and a Daewoo Matiz then to make it more realistic...!!!!

Edited to take out the word "Fiesta" and replace with "Skoda" after glancing at your profile.

Dream Machine - cool program :-) Lots about Ferrari (less so about the 308, and the odd inaccurate historical fact, but what the hey, eh ?)

Liked the programme about the Ferraris - pity the picture's still crap. It made me realise that my car, which is a silver Dino 308 GT4 looks better, IMHO, than in red.

I always thought that all Ferraris should be red.

I missed 5th gear cos I had to get the car out and wash it after seeing them on telly.

Did they really spend that much restoring the prize car?

Oh no!! I rang in for it as well. That means it's between you and me.

My history would be:

Metro 1.4 Gti - Porsche 944 Turbo - Ferrari 308
