We were born in the same county, in the same year and he stole my hair. I've even been asked for his autograph by people who simply didn't know any better. I seriously enjoy his style of writing in the Sunday Times, and Top Gear is very, very funny. Most of the time.

Lets face it, before JC came to prominence all we had in motor reporting terms were largely a bunch of sycophants and we'd all be happy driving Vauxhall Novas wearing ludicrous hats or be spending our lives smoking shag, drinking warm brown beer with bits floating in it discussing the failings of the live axle.
