It has been suggested on another part of this site that a meeting should be organised for the European Finals at Santa Pod 6th - 8th September, I was wondering if anything has come of this? and if not, would anyone be interested in going? I realise that Top Fuel Drag racing is not Lotus/TVR teritory, but it is one of the most exhilerating forms of motorsport on the face of the planet!

Since I was a nipper I'd always fancied going to santa pod, but never got round to it. Would be good to get a PH meet based around the event. Pie, Stella and Methanol - mmmmmmm......

Yes, I'm in. Ticket price may be a bit steep though.

£39 for 3 day's in advance isn't too bad, especially if you compare that to the cost of 1 day at the Grand Prix.
Maybe we could get a group discount or something!

I've been a regular at Santa Pod for 25 years now. Top Fuel are currently running 300mph in 4.98 sec quarter miles. You just have to be there to appreciate the raw power of these machines. The whole ground shakes!

The street legal classes are quite something too, can you believe sub 9 sec pass on treaded tyres.

Can assure you all of a good day out if the weather is kind.

I visited Santa Pod for the first time the other weekend to watch the Summer Nationals. Absolutely Brilliant. The fireforce2 jet car was worth the visit alone. The commentator mentioned that the European Finals were likely to be very busy, but I don't know whether this was just hype.
