Absolutely, what do you have in mind?
I'll drop you an email Norbury90 said:
If it's anything like the last one, we started and finished at the same hotel. I think the hotel will be announced when booking opens as it will be the fairest way of people being able to book.
Further to that though, any hope of getting a discounted rate for rooms this year?
Correct, we'll announce each hotel when we go live for each separate event. We'll do our best to get preferential rates but we try to locate ourselves somewhere that's fairly priced as a minimum. Obviously we need a lot of space for 120+ cars so that can limit the options somewhat.Further to that though, any hope of getting a discounted rate for rooms this year?

(Ben) I know its a way off but do you know roughly what area of Kent the start and finish will be. We are based in East Sussex so Brands is pretty good for us. Kent however is a big county so just curious if we need to be keeping an eye out for the hotel details or not?
Sure, it's going to be near to Leeds Castle if that helps Thanks mate. Digs the night before it is then. Will those that have registered be notified of hotel details via email? Must introduce myself this year. I saw you chatting with other people we were second back behind the disco and just ahead of the 911. We left before the prize giving after a swift half in the bar for the slog back home.

Definitely, we'll be there the night before so it's a great opportunity to have a chat in the bar. I'll have to double check with Tony but I can't see why we can't include the hotel details in the email to those that have registered so that you have early access to get rooms booked. These are road events and deffinately NOT a race. Quality well manered driving is essential to enjoy any drive.
The time to put your foot down is on the timed tests and great fun it is too.
I took part in last years and really enjoyed it. Mrs was the navigator who never missed a beat.
If you've not done one do it. Happy motoring.

Did the Sporting Tour in October and thought £150 per car was expensive for what was put on. As fun as it was, £180 per car is going to make me have to think long and hard about signing up.
This is a valid point, but for some it will be petty cash. Inevitably, once you know it works you can push the price up.The October event was great, and I spent as much on fuel getting there from Anglesey, and I’m sure the comments wouldn’t be so positive if the weather hadn’t be kind.
But I’m still doing at least one of these, probably skip the Kent event..

I'd just like to reiterate that the price increase is due to us using MSV circuits for the autotests this year, as mentioned in the article. There's a huge amount of work that goes into these events and unlike a lot of motorsport, we pay our marshals to give something back for when they usually give up their time freely. We're confident that entrants will find it good value but we'll welcome feedback afterwards just as before on how we can improve for future events.
I for one do not have an issue with the price. For a full days entertainment for the Mrs and I don't think its bad value. I would hope it wouldn't rise anymore though. Your average theme park would cost you £100 just to walk through the door to then stand in a series of queues all day. I know which id rather be doing for entertainment.

Ben, I didn’t mean to imply that PH were making more money out of the events. We're confident that entrants will find it good value but we'll welcome feedback afterwards just as before on how we can improve for future events.
It’s just natural that costs you might initially ‘cover’, become chargeable.
Anyway, I’m in for at least two, and this sort of event is more accessible to a wider audience, so keep it up.

I'm in. Booked paid and hotel sorted. Hope its as good as last year. Might book car in for a once over/service before the day. I had new front pads fitted quite close last year and they suffered a bit on the tighter bits as they hadn't had much of a chance to bed in before the day.
Yep you'll definitely want to make sure your brakes are up to scratch, especially with the tarmac rally stage at Brands! For anyone wanting to post about the new South event, the article is now up here: https://www.pistonheads.com/news/general-pistonhea...
