I am on the reserves list but can I still come along / is there anywhere to park other than the 400car private area? Keen to bring my little girl for her first petrol head experience! Start ‘em young. Thanks.
There’s plenty of parking. If you drive into merc world, go past where the entry to the piston heads meet is and you’ll come to another car park. If that’s full, drive out of merc world, left at the roundabout and left at the next one into The Heights business park where on the weekend there is approx maybe 1000 parking spaces. Head to the far end from the roundabout and you can walk through to merc world past the entry to the brook lands museum.
I rarely post, and am shocked at the attitude of some to go out of their way to be unhelpful and rude.
Hope all the above helps.
Cheers
Peter

Bloody 1M owners - sounds about right!
Looks like it’ll be a gang of GR Yaris this year - I count 15, with another 5 on the reserve list. Think there were only two there last year.
2 red ones. Handbrake at the ready just need someone to show me the grass and I’m ready to roll.

Forecast looks a bit iffy…..will put a LOT of people off including myself as I have zero weather gear….Roof, doors, windows, wipers etc!…If you’re way down the list and it’s raining expect to get a place!
It’s 12 days away. An accurate forecast is 3 days roughly. This is really helpful thanks - my son had been banging on about going to MB World for ages, I signed up not realising there was a 400 car limit (I'm still about 589th).... we are up in North West and need to plan a hotel etc.
Thinking now of doing MB World on Saturday afternoon... and chance it on Sunday with the visitors carpark... if Sun fails; its not a total waste of time then.

In all honesty it’s just a glorified showroom, not something I’d be booking hotels to see (probably about an hour of entertainment). Thinking now of doing MB World on Saturday afternoon... and chance it on Sunday with the visitors carpark... if Sun fails; it’s not a total waste of time then.
However brooklands museum is next door and you could easily fill a day looking at cars, planes and buses.

Looking forward to my first Piston Heads Sunday service. I'm a registered drone operator. Who can I speak to to check if I'm able to fly and get some great shots of the cars?
Good lurking! Commercial or hobbyist? Sorry if I’m teaching you to suck eggs.
I think you might struggle with this one. There is a grass stop that’s flown into on-site so would need to check minor aerodromes data for brooklands, you also won’t be able to overfly the cars due to 400+ crowd. Then there’s the railway line that borders the site (where PH parks) https://www.networkrail.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2...
And if your drone is bigger than a mavic mini then you can’t fly within 150m of MB world and the hotel (the cars are parked well within 150m of both).
