Glad you all had a good time. I was thinking about you as I worked but things may be looking up soon. Can I just add that Jeremy Copp is a top bloke.

Smeagol, only just noticed you are in Leicester.

And more praise for organising the event - thanks..

I too am feeling muscles that I didn't know I had. I appeared to be just the wrong size for the Kart, but there we go. Still, I managed a midfield place and found that all seemed to be very fair amongst us 'gentlemen' racers in the middle....

I would particularly like to extend my thanks to Simon Pullan for not only taking me out but also crushing my foot

I didn't realise it was Simon - he seemed like such a nice, mild mannered fellow! Obviously the racer's killer instinct is well camouflaged.

I missed all the incidents and enjoyed some great kart racing while learning the circuit and tricks from Tony and bravely fighting my way down the grid from 2nd to 5th :-(

Rematch anyone?

I was behind (oo-eerr..!!) when the incident took place.

It was almost identical to the R.Schumacher trying to over take rubbie, at the first corner of this weekends F1.

Very impressive display though of how to use a kerb to launch your kart about 8 inches into the air and then land on top of another. I shall remember that next time….!!

Smiles, Thurmaston (north Leicester abgout 5 mins from the co-op superstore). No I'm not going to P2002, too busy keeping my business going at the moment. Hence why you're seeing posts at gone 11 at night. (going to bed soon) I have spent all day doing computing stuff and getting very Big meeting on Friday so hopefully after that I will be much better (certainly clearer) about whats going on.

Cheers Peter, scant consolation in those stats however.
I dont feel so bad about coming home in 21st, there were some very experienced drivers / racers there - had a great time.

I feel bad about starting in 11th and then punting myself down to last place on the first lap. DOH!
But at least I clawed my way back up to 18th and was poised to overtake Ted in 17th when the race was ended.

Next time though......

Ah well, there's only one way to find out, isn't there? We'd better organise another one!

does anyone else sense a PH championship (thats championship in the vaguest sense of the word!) if we do a couple of events this year I would be more than happy to help organise a championship for next year over a couple of rounds, say four or five visting a few different circuits throughout the course of the year, any thoughts........

The problem is that most circuits don't have enough karts to run 25 of us all at once in an endurance race - and the standard 'Grand Prix' formats are a bit stop/start and a bit more pot luck too.

I know Surbiton only have 12 karts (and they normally keep two spare) - and to run 25 karts as a exclusive PH only race at Buckmore Park would cost a small fortune.

So it might have to be a single venue series - the PH MK Challenge?

I think it would not be a problem: We could run at the following circuits with no problems:-

Rye House
Daytona MK
Daytona Sandown Park
The Raceway (London)
Buckmore Park
+ maybe some others such as Whiton Mill. A four race championship at four different circuits would be easy.
