Where do all you guys cane your cars at the weekends when not on trackdays? What part of the country are you all from?

I live in London at the moment but I'm moving out to the essex countryside towards the end of this summer - plenty of twisty roads around Maldon / Danbury. A mate of mine with a Cerbie will be up for thrashes / pub meets too if you guy's are ever around this neck of the woods.

One of my faves is the M40 - A40 - Burford and then the road to Stow on the Wold. Its a lovely sweeping road with great visibility.

Well worth a look if you are up that way.

Matt.

Plotloss: that road is a pig for the pigs... I once was stupid enough to get into a bit of a do with a Jag and a CLK in my BM... came over the brow of a hill to a copper leaning accross his bonnet with a gun..

The cop then stood in the middle of the dual carriageway and pulled all 3 of us!!! he only got one car on the gun, the jag, at 97... with it's front bumper buried heavily into the tarmac!!!

Nice cop though, let us all of with a sever 'ticking off'..... me very very lucky that day!

plotloss --- one of my absolute favourites too. I have family living in Worcestershire, so blat up to Oxford on the M40, then A40 to Burford, A424 to Stow then B4077 down the Cotswolds escarpment towards the M5. The B road is superb.

I live in Hove, East Sussex. Some of the roads in this part of the country are outstanding, although the real trick is to find a real B road which doesn't go down to single carriageway and doesn't have a walking gluepot leaving massive turds everywhere.

Best bets are either to the East around Lewes and Robertsbridge (where there just happens to be a Subaru dealer ) or to the North around the South Downs. Fantastic, and rarely any boys in blue to worry about.

Just been e-mailed about a regular meet up:

"Hurdlemakers Arms near Danbury, first Sunday of the month. Apparently the turnout tends to be pretty high, 20-30 odd cars!"

I'll pop along and see what it's like.
