Hello all,

I need to replace the fan belt on an imported tractor.

I've got the old knackered one. Is it as simple as measuring it and getting one a bit smaller?

I've done a quick search and there seems to be all sorts of formula and recommendations.

Is it that complex or am i missing something?

Thanks in advance.

Measure it and get one the same size confused
You will need to figure out the belt type though based on cross section

Yeah, that was my thought also. How hard can it be right?

Looking online, most places want the reg of the vehicle, which isn't going to work, at least the make and model. Or over at Bearing Boys, they have a calculator, when I put the numbers in... 0 results found.

I thought it might be as easy as these are the standard sizes, and I could choose from that.

It can be a PITA with nothing to go on. What's the tractor? Maybe try reckoning up against something like this:

Or even putting 'X' tractor fan belt on eBay might give some clues.

Put a piece of string around the pulleys, that's your length.
Profiles are all on the internet or post a pic of it.
