re's no flat spots inthe engStarting, applying throttle
Discussion
Hi All.
I sold my Tam a few months ago and replaced with a T350T. One noticeable difference with the engine is the Tam used to crank over from start and idle at 950/1k without an initial blib on the throttle.
My new T350 is the opposite and always needs a gentle push of the throttle to help the engine 'hit' (probably not the technical term!) the idle.
Idle then sits around 800. Quite often if I blib the throttle the revs can drop below say 4/5k and then tick back up to 8. Another observation is the engine drops revs quicker than my Tam whilst gears are disengaged.
There's no flat spots in the engine and it pulls just as hard as my old Tam.
As a straight and direct comparison between the cars the T350 doesn't seem right to me.
Any thoughts out there?

Throttlepot reset?
I must have left the title blank so it looks like a 5yr old has written it...Thanks for the reply, I've searched the forum now you mention throttle pot and it seems this thread hits the spot: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=118...
Had a similar problem a few days ago, engine idle sat around 800-850 rpm and drops to 500rpm couple of times. When under load, everthing was fine.

Get these things and it's a 2 min job...

I have one and it is a brilliant bit of kit! Very useful to have. Particularly like the fact that I can see when the rad fans come on and the ecu temp reading that is generally more reliable than the dash temp sensor.
