I noticed when browsing this weeks Autocar that TVR are going to discontinue the Tamora when they move factory . The article says they are going to continue to build the Sagaris and Tuscan 2 - no mention of the t350 - big shame to my mind the tamora was one of the most striking designs to ever leave tvr, and i always grin like crazy when one goes past - let's all hope this artice has got it wrong! Also mentions the possibility of a new cebera with a main stream V8, and the rusky boss was seen at Jaguars factory in the week looking at jags 4.2 V8

Not a great surprise, especially if the rumoured new cars happen to be a convertible Saggy and a toned down Saggy to replace the t350.

The other rumours thread puts the v8 at 4.4l, not 4.2 though.

Tis true, I posted it back in May in general TVR, and since I have had it confirmed.

I can only see it as being as issue for those who don't have one.

Spare a thought for the other 5 999 999 600.

Cool, our Tams are going to be one of the rarest TVR's ever made! I shall cherish and nurse mine all the more!

So as a TAMO owner, I should not be concerned that I will
lose bucket more loads of money plus never be able to sell
it !

If they replace the Tamster with a Sagaris convertible I can imagine Tamora prices going up. I can't imagine anymore more overstyled than a Sagaris convertible. Hopefully it looks more T350 than Sagaris when it appears.

Tried to find out from the factory how many Tams have been made in total, and how many this year but no info.
Picked mine up week before Easter and there was only one other that had been built, so I think that I have one of the last.

Nice feeling of exclusivity, but a little sad.

You'd imagine it would be toned down, especially as they reputed t350 replacement will be.
I think it could make a fantastic car. Did you ever see the photoshop of a t350 drop top? Imagine that but with Sagaris lights (which I much prefer) and flared arches to accommodate the new wider track.

Why would Tamora owners loose money and not be able to sell? I would imagine the end of production will only increase demand and keep prices healthy when one of these rare cars appears for sale.

Yeah some time around 2020 the rare TVR Tamora will be highly collectable, maybe.

Well, I don't know about anyone else, but I chose a Tamora because of the way it drives and the way it looks after me when I turn into corners at silly speeds, leaving me laughing out loud as I accelerate out of the corner - I think if I weighed up the 'smiles per mile' factor, I would end up owing the Tam money, not the other way round! lol

If I thought for one second that I was going to get roughly what I paid for it a few years down the line, I would be living in la la land!

I didn't buy the car as an investment, who does? I bought it for my/our own fun and personal pleasure, and despite the occasional hiccup, I still can't think of a single car that I could afford to run to replace it.

What about these German uber saloons which seemingly get a facelift, or are replaced with an even more new and improved model, with even more 'must have for no other reason than to tell the guys at work' gadgets every year or so, what is the depreciation on those?

I own a reletively simple 2 seater sports car that looks gorgeous (to me), goes like stink and handles like a dream - it does exactly what it says on the tin, why replace it, and why worry about it being discontinued? As long as S6 variants are still being built, there will not be an issue with parts and plenty of places to take it for a service!

Also, I would imagine that its only very few people who know what a Tamora is, I always get complimentary remarks regarding the looks and sound, not once had a negative comment - do these people who love to look at it know it's going to be discontinued? Hell, they all ask if it's Italian, they have no idea it's made in the UK - I am always very proud to point this out to them, and shall continue to enjoy every second of driving it too!

Yeah, I suppose it could look really really good if they get it right. Worries me as I don't want to sell my car for a few years

We've never seem a Smolensky designed car yet so the jury's out as far as I'm concerned (the Sagaris was Wheeler, Smolensky only tweaked it under the skin).

Good stuff about the Tamora

Personally, I can't think of a single car I'd swap my Tamora for. Sagaris drop-top might change that, though.

Great shame. Having Hooned along a number of roads in convoy with nubbin driving his tamora I've always been bloody impressed with the car.

Because it makes him feel good and gets him attention. Same reason a child might smack his younger sibling.
