Hi Grant,

As soon as PM's activate - after 24 hours I will. Please could you hold a copy until then.

When we take the Aston out of its winter hibernation I shall start a thread about her.

Thanks,

Luke

Hi Grant,

I ordered the physical book on the 11th but as yet have not received it. (Of course I'm across the pond.)

Best,

Jim

Hi Jim this is one of the reasons we went digital as the guide shipped worldwide and shipping times vary when we all expect next day these days from the likes of Prime. US shipments from the UK usually take 10-14 days and your guide was shipped on Feb 14th via Airmail tracked. If you don’t mind giving it until late next week, if it still hasn’t turned up we will chase the tracking number. Cheers smile

Hi Grant,

No problem. Thanks for the info. I already have the digital version (and it is great) but also like the physical book for its convenience. The combo is the best of all worlds, I imagine.

Regards,

Jim

By the way, I just noticed thank to the book cover that the backlights of the Vanquish are done so they recall the wings in the AM badge, very cool.

Hi Grant,

I have just tried to buy a download of your excellent Aston tome on Amazon UK and the site is telling me not available.

Is there a current problem, or is it recognising I have a Ghana ISP address and blocking the sale?

Here is a print screen.

Finlo

Hi Finlop, Thanks for your post. The guide should definitely be available Worldwide via Amazon. If you are in Ghana then I think Amazon.com would be your best route to order rather than .co.uk

There is a quirk to be aware of, if you are using the Amazon shoping App on an iPad (Mac etc) you can’t order the guide directly from within the app, apparently Apple block direct Kindle book purchases as a condition of allowing Amazon to have their app on Apple devices. You can still order on an iPad but you just need to use your web browser (Ie Safari) instead of the Amazon app. I hope that makes sense..... let me know how you get on smile

Hi Grant,

I have tried to buy from Amazon UK again, and got and message "Due to copy write restrictions the Kindle title you're trying to purchase is not available in your country / region (Ghana)"

If your publisher can resolve I will buy, but if not I should be grateful if you still have a hard copy if you could send one to my UK address and give me PayPal payment details.

Thanks,

Finlo

Hi Grant

Also tried on Amazon.com and got the same response also saying Buy from the Kindle store.

Looks like hard copy is the only way to my UK address!

Hi Finlop,
You have raised an interesting question. Having investigated things further it appears Amazon restrict supply to certain African countries, in honesty I'm not sure why as the guide has Ghana ticked for delivery of the Aston Martin guide, so this an Amazon issue rather one of our making. The guide sells all over the world but yours is the first enquiry from Ghana, hence our learning curve!
I'm told people who want to use Amazon in Ghana use various work arounds, but I can't vouch for or recommend any so you are best searching for these yourself, although here is a link to a random example I found for you................... http://www.blogerian.com/no-kindle-restriction-afr...
I hope it helps.
Best Regards
Grant
