Glass buttons = yes

I’ve been looking at Virages today - decent VFM from what I can tell.

Still over shadowed by the DB9.2?

Found out there is an emergency release for the fuel cap flap the hard way, at a petrol station. Thank god for red pants' video. Would not have made it home without it.

Broke down and had to be recovered irked

Had only gone a couple of miles when suddenly I had coolant drops appearing on the windscreen, and a low coolant warning on the dash. Pulled over immediately and switched off, only to be enveloped in a cloud of steam. Stream of coolant behind me, growing puddle underneath the car.
Looks like a hose has split or parted. Aston Martin recovery were very good (less than an hour) and it’s being taken to the dealership tomorrow. Hopefully no major damage, but it is annoying. It’s only the second time in 40 years of driving that I have needed roadside assistance!

Carbon ski slope looks excellent but no glass buttons Chris???
This is going to sound ridiculous I know - but the italic type face on the glass buttons doesn't do it for me frown

That's the second person who has said that in the past week. Do I need to start paying more attention to fonts?

So are we saying that an italic font for the glass PRND buttons is not acceptable, but an italic font for all the other buttons and dials is ?

Get a grip people.

Typography is important. It's the little details that count...

I quite like that one.
A badge that's changed nine times through Aston's history - including the font.

Other than the starter button, it's italics all the way in a DB11. Why has no-one ever complained about this before ?

I think this forum needs renaming to the 'Pistonheads Aston Martin Reform Club Forum for Anal-Retentives'

Hang on, so are we saying that the plastic buttons are non-italic font and glass are italic for like for like buttons?

WTF - I've never noticed that, and I thought I was rather retentive on such things! wink

I got three pedals - so yes. That's exactly what I'm saying.

biglaugh That's excellent. An 'ugly font'. If this guy hasn't already, he should join this forum. He'd feel right at home.

Happy Birthday Richard. I'm guessing the cake will need to be quite large these days..... party

Reminds me, need to get an MOT booked so I too can un-SORN mine.

Went out with my wife in her DB11 for a run down to Sandbanks, and then back out and around the country roads. Introduced her to the different driving modes, I think she quite enjoyed Sport...but still haven’t got her to use the paddles.

Starting to get used to how effortlessly fast it is.

MoT this morning - passed with flying colours. Had to warn the mechanics to keep their grubby mitts off my beautiful suspension.

Tax will be 1st April and for the rest of the summer and then tucked away again like Punsatawny Phil in October.

Managed 17 miles since the last MoT, however, there was some pretty major subframe, brake and suspension work in 2020 and the small matter of lockdown.

I was using lockdown etc to do some maintenance whilst it was warm. Next thing I knew it was Autumn and time to SORN.
