So what have you done with your Aston today? (Vol. 2)
Discussion
i have just returned today from a tremendous trip up to some of the wonderful roads and amazing sights of Scotland , including Loch Lomond, Glencoe and Fort Wiillam - we were so lucky with the weather it was just fabulous, and cannot recommend it enough

A flying trip down to Cornwall yesterday to have a late lunch with my parents followed by a stop off at DAE for a service on the way home today

Service all good but into a rear subframe restoration in the spring- was a known exposure I had when I purchased and although it doesn’t seem to be critical it is obviously corroding now and so get it done means another thing off the list.
Bit of a convoy with a blue DB11 Volante on the A303 and a few other Astons about despite the heavy rain. But the clouds did eventually clear allowing a final piece of childish top-down action on the Lewes bypass to end the day. I think I need to grow up a bit.
Aside from a clean next weekend, that might be me done for this year- the wet weather’s really pissing me off.

Popped in to the local Tesco to grab a few provisions while on the way home. As I parked up I noticed that it appears to be a sweltering evening tonight.
Either that or the sensor for the OTG has decided enough is enough.

Quite normal, if you park up after a spirited drive as external temperature sensor is located far too close to the radiator you get a high reading until you’ve got going again!Either that or the sensor for the OTG has decided enough is enough.

After an extremely soggy drive from the Midlands, my son and I had an excellent hoon on the Old Military Road from Perth to Tomintoul.
We managed 26.9mpg for the first tank of Tesco 99 - I somehow doubt we’ll see that much again on this trip…
Stayed the night at Nethy Bridge - on to Inverness, Wick, JoG, Dunnet Head and Thurso today.

I’ve never seen a disc with 82 tracks!!!
It COULD be a recordable CD (CD-R) with loads of compressed .mp3 music files - I used to ‘burn’ these CD-R’s for my 2006 E90 330i, and coupled with a 6 CD stacker, meant that I could have even more music in the car - 100s of ‘tracks’.Unfortunately you pay the price with reduced sound quality as these highly compressed .mp3 files sound far worse than conventional CDs (320kb/s vs 1411kb/s).

Bit further round the NC500 - another 180 miles today - Nethybridge, through Inverness, Perth, Wick, JoG to the overnight stop at Thurso.
Absolutely filthy weather to start off with, but the sun came out when we got to JoG - still flippin’ cold though.
Dunnet Head sunset

Nice pic! It always pisses down when I take mine on a road trip too. Although the odds would be greater in Scotland Absolutely filthy weather to start off with, but the sun came out when we got to JoG - still flippin’ cold though.

Another epic day on the NC500 today. Forecast looked poor, but we’ve had empty, dry roads for most of the day. We had a bit of a play around the Kylescu bridge - I’ll post some video in a few days if it’s not too incriminating…
In the meantime, another shot of the car against a stunning backdrop

And the cheesy, but obligatory one by the bridge…
