So what have you done with your Aston today? (Vol. 2)
Discussion
After being told my sat nav no longer rose to the occasion during a service 2 years ago, no idea how long it hadn’t worked it’s the next best thing to useless, I finally took a brave pill and levered off the waterfall.
With the correct trim tool it was surprisingly painless and nothing broke, and then with the aid of red pants videos the gears have been replaced.

Was quite pleased to see the old gears in a sorry state as this indicated it wouldn’t be anything more drastic….installed back in and now working as it should….and will stay in the down position until it’s checked at the next service

Wow RoNNy379CH!! Awesome, simply awesome!

I have Xpel & Gtechniq Halo CC treatment booked in for my new new Vantage when it arrives in September……. Photos of your car only heighten my anticipation!! Your guy has done a fantastic job - getting the PPF to fit flush around the side blades can’t have been easy!

Had some time on my hands so decided to do a gravity brake bleed on my DB11. Took two half days. It's a little like watching paint dry, but yields a quality brake fluid change.

On this process, I watch the color of the fluid exiting via the tube.

When the fluid turns from a urine color to a clear, then I know I've circulated fresh fluid through that wheel.

Good to see others still doing it this way! On this process, I watch the color of the fluid exiting via the tube.

My second year of servicing (sorry more then a day :-))
Oil/Filter change. Lab oil analysis report came out great.
Cleaning both throttle bodies.
New sway bar bushing (after market) and drop links front and rear; the front drop links are a pain, have to remove the lower damper bolt.
Full transmission service, got around 10ltrs out.
Brake bleeding.
Replaced two upstream O2 sensors.
Replaced both door struts/stays.
Created a bracket to keep my windshield washer tank in its place.
New battery, and a few other odds and ends.
And a special thanks to a few great posts i copied to make up a few new tools - tranny fill pump and tire lift.

I recognize that tire lift
I posted my version on 6SpeedOnline a few months back (https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/aston-martin/456899-older-you-get.html).
I'm happy to see someone putting the idea to good use -- it's served me well over the winter as I've had my wheels on and off several times for various projects.
Brake calipers off to be painted, bodywork removed to adjust panel gaps around the doors (2016 Vanquish)...
