I find that on some single make forums (im on some bike ones too) are just not that busy, or regulars may not always check in the "welcome newbies area". Im guilty of that myself, as there is not much traffic on that forum , i pop in, see whats changed in sub forums of interest, then thats it. In the meanwhile there may have been 3 months worth of newbie forum posts.

Thankfully we have enough regulars on here to keep the daily banter up and twenty years of history to search on.....
True, the bike one is not exactly a mainstream one either. Yes, this is a well-attended forum, it has to be said with generally polite but occasionally slightly salty banter and I pop in just to see what's going on, there's usually something of interest even if it has little to do with the car I am running. Had some good co-working too, eg with EVR on the wheel sensors!

On the oil front, for me with low miles use, it'd definitely be a 2 year period, it's just a waste of good oil. Is it my imagination or I do remember that a few years ago Alfa putting 60,000 mile (and 5 years?) oil change on their V6? It was with the then new fully synthetics and the service period was soon changed and caused general consternation. I also have a Merc with a maximum 2 year interval which subsequently was changed to an annual, perhaps for servicing revenue, perhaps there were issues but mine is over 100k miles and still sweet, as one would hope and expect.

My Swiss 5 cents worth... (5p worth, 5 rappen worth?)
Like the OP, I have a 2007 V8V, and when I picked it up from the AM dealership in 2015 it involved an extensive Q&A, and on the subject of servicing the coffee peddler said to me that servicing every 2 years is absolutely fine for the car, and of minimal if zero impact on resale within their network.
