Posting this on behalf of my brother...

He's interested in an AMV8 but hasn';t yet been tyo see one - nearest dealer is about 30 miles away but has a '57 plate one he likes the look of.

However, before making the trip over wants to know what they are like for headroom.....he's 6'3/4" and not particularly slim...

So, will he fit ?

Cheers

The dealer is a whole 30 miles away...

Is he a keen driver then?

Not sure how being a keen driver is relevant but he is reluctant to waste a morning going over there if he simply won't fit and could find out beforehand......and not waste the dealers time too, but calling in advance to make an appointment but within seconds not being able to go any further.......

It's a bit like my problem with garage width (see other thread) - happy to drive some distance to look at/drive potential new cars (250 miles last weekend) but not much point unless it will fit in the garage in the first place as can't/don't want to keep it on the drive........

I meant that a 30 mile drive to see a new car is no great hardship if you like driving.

Anyhow, in trying to be more helpful, I've just gone out to the garage and sat in my car. I'm c6ft tall and there are a few inches between my head and the headlining in the car.

My brother was in my car today and was laughing because his hair was touching the headlining.

Cheers, think it will be touch and and go for him.......I had the same problem in the Gallardo (and I'm only 6ft) until I moved the seat pitch back and then all was fine.....maybe he'll just have to have a more laid back driving style to make it work laugh

He'll have to go and see himself, who knows, he could have a short body and long legslaugh

One of the few occasions I'm glad that I'm only 5'9".

I'm 6'4". 35" inside leg. 17st (+ at the moment!).

I fit fine.

Note that you have to play with all the seat adjustments (height, rake, forward/back, two lumbar positions) to get comfy, which can take time so be patient. Also play with steering wheel rake.

I have my seat tilted back, as low as it will go. This means I can't get it all the way back, which seems counter intuitive, but it works.

Memory seats are a bonus if you're large and others may use the car as finding a good seat position can take a while! It's saved me a load of hassle at times smile

I find I am JUST OK when not wearing my lid, but on track it hits the roof so I have to adjust the position. I am 6 2 but like the seat all the way back but fairly upright (sort of race car style)

Same as others, I've sports seats and as a 6' 2" person I can easily find a comfortable position.

Personally I would take anybodys word for it. I'll get my tall ass down to the dealer and sit in one. Otherwise you'll never know if it's the car for you. 30 miles isn't that far to go look at Astons surely.
