Hi folks,

I've done a search, and I know this has been covered in great detail before but I couldn't find the definitive answer to:

Which Oil - Castrol 10w 60 EDGE or Castrol 10w 60 EDGE SPORT?!!

(I've also got the option to buy Castrol EDGE RORMULA RS 10w 60 here in Germany, is that the same stuff?)

Thanks.

There's about a £5 difference in price between the two different kinds from the same supplier though.

Opie Oils charge £38.31 for the EDGE SPORT but £44.44 for the EDGE (which its says is for BMW M-cars).

Just wanted to know what Aston recommends, I'll ring the dealer tomorrow if no-one's too sure.

Thanks.

Castrol Formula RS 10W-60 is the recommended oil, edge and edge sport are both equivelant and meet or exceed the sae spec, some dealers so i have been informed which may or may not be the case as heresay is not always accurate, are using the alternative spec which is a 5w 50 fully synthetic, any castrol 10w 60 (which was just a race spec oil originally) and will be more than adequate and safe to use and all meet or exceed the spec ACEA A3/B3,so which ever of the three will perfectlt ok in day to day usage,
