I sometimes get a squeak from the pax side window when starting off in the car.
Drop the window slightly & then back up - squeak disappears.

Thanks for the reply...it's a very annoying buzzing sound....I mentioned to amw at the service on Thursday and they removed a small plate underneath....on the drive home to London, the buzzing returned :-(

Had a small buzz/tizzing noise at 60 - 70mph on certain concrete roads on my DB11 - eventually traced it to the plastic cover that covers the rain sensor behind the mirror. Also noticed tyre pressures were a bit high after collection from dealer. Reduced pressures to recommended and no buzz or tizzing noise since.

Do you guys have an idea for a creaking coming seemingly from the upper driver window area?

I thought rubbers seals needed some treating, applied Gummi Pflege but it does not have changed much. It does not seem speed-dependant, but seems to go away if the window is slightly lowered.
Did you find an answer to your creaking? l’ve got the same sound, Also applied Gummi Pflege made no effect, just lowering the window by the smallest amount stops the sound.
Wondering if there is anyway to adjust the window by about a 1mm or 2mm.

Not quite. Sometimes it goes away, then comes back. I suspect the cold AC with the hot outside air might accentuate it, I will investigate.

I re-applied Gummi and did the window resetting procedure but no chance so far.

Hi Evo, I finally fixed the annoying noise/rattle/tapping noise from the drivers window, If you look up the door seal where the top of the window fits into the seal, There are tiny bolts up there and one of them had got loose and when the window is raised it catches on that bolt, Just tighten the bolt up, no more noise.

I can vouch that this is a piece of very good advice! Found those bolts, tighten them and no more noise. wink

This should definitely be included in the official Rattle and Squeaks FAQs!

Thank you very much for bringing it up Cavor.

Whilst investigating water leaks by front area just behind mirror trim it would appear that the speaker grill is moving and scratching interior trim cover

Anyone seen this before please ?

I had a look up at the seal but can’t see the bolts. Could you point me in the right direction

I will check next time I'm using the car and take some pics, that could take a while.

In the meantime, if someone else has the car right next/under his place and would like to snap those, I don't mind!smile

I think you need to peel the door seal back to reveal this little screws.

yes - exactly this. Peel back about 15mm from the very top corner. Very easy to expose the bolt and very easy to return the seal to its correct position.

Thanks for the help. I managed to find the screws and tighten them. None were particularly loose but they just needed nipping up

Scroll down, the tightening of window bolts helped.
