It looks lovely - white would be my favourite colour
Don't feel like I ought to chase them! I just may have to wait a little while for another car. Let me know if you see any others crop up

Hope you managed to squeeze a good deal out of Saxtons. I couldn't get them to where I needed the price point to be.
Well I called, told them I'm interested and then emailed what I felt was a reasonable offer (asking price but an Infiniti service and a years tax) and ....... no reply Don't feel like I ought to chase them! Very nice wookietaff, congrats! What do you think you will do regarding the warranty?
Andy, I got the feeling that when I spoke to Saxtons about the silver car that they were not prepared to move more than a few hundred pounds on the asking, they didn't come back to me either following my verbal offer.
Good luck with the search, I have just driven back from London this afternoon to Herts, I just love he car, the wait will be worth it!

Saxtons have had that car since Feb and it started at 32k so yes they have likely taken a hit but also they need to move it on. I'd hold out. But their comms aren't the best which isn't encouraging. Too many cars, so not enough attention detail or the customer for me.
Will probably go for the warranty for piece of mind and as a useful resale tool as I might have to go overseas next year with work. So the FX unfortunately could be a relatively short term proposition. The inspection is I think GBP140 which is a pain but I'll swallow it, am getting the end of warranty check at the same time. The passenger seat heating function isn't working and having read a few US forums seems its a common problem so need that addressed. Does yours work OK?
Really interested in the remap and exhaust options Infiniti Reading have used on there own limited edition examples which takes it to about 425BHP I think.

Cheers for info and heads up guys.
Infiniti have now got back to me and confirmed the warranty remaining on the Saxton car is void due to the service gap! Shame as it would have covered the car until late March 2014. Saxton are mad!
I'll keep looking as the only other options are Cayenne (don't like the front) and X6 (love it but been there!).

wookietaff, the heated and cooled functions on both seats work thankfully, the only issue I had when I picked it up was a intermittently working spare key. I took it into Infiniti St Albans, they changed the battery FOC and thankfully all good again.
I need to have a chat to the service manager when I take the car down in December for its service and warranty inspection regarding their claims experience on the warranty. Most of the US forums seem to confirm that the major mechanicals are pretty bullet proof, but they do suffer the odd electronic niggle and in my experience these items are rarely covered by after market warranties.
The exhaust and remap sound interesting, do you know if Reading can supply the remap and exhaust to us, if so have they indicated a cost?
Andy, I think I mentioned earlier in the thread about the service history gap and suspected Infiniti would void the warranty because of this, as you say for the sake of a poxy £300 service they have probably knocked thousands off the cars value! Keep looking, it will be worth the wait. I will keep my eyes open for you.
Thehandshake, thanks I really like the colour combination thankfully!

I browsed at that and thought it was a lot of car for the money. What's this about a service gap though? I tracked down the maker of the exhaust, its Quicksilver who are UK based and manufactured. They make exhausts for a range of high end vehicles. Looking at their price for the FX exhaust delivered (GBP1050) I think the fitted price quoted by Infiniti Reading (GBP1100) might be good value.
One other thing, I'm looking at the most economical way to update the sat nav specially as I'm relying on it for speed cameras. Its a Navteq system I think. Exploring how I can source a 2013 map update for reasonable money.
