I'm sure most of us have seen this colour by now, but are there any on UK roads at all?

This car has caught my eye - looks gorgeous with the tan interior on blue...

Stumbled across this thread after my 'what mild 2+dog' supercar thread. Arguably they ain't a supercar but they really do appeal. Currently have a 840i GC in a lease which goes back in March and a GR Yaris on order(!) which I think will be a bit too 'yaris' for me to step down to after the GC loveliness! These are looking like a favorite at the moment, love love love the interior and exterior, and the NA v8 is such a brilliant contrast to the space age looks. To me it's like a posh modern muscle car, and that ticks a lot of boxes!

Looking at AT they seem to be currently starting at just under 50k for a early 2017 car, I'm guessing they haven't dropped hugely since this thread was started after their initial heavy depreciation?!

That is generally most peoples/reviewers opinion but I would say that.

I purchased a V8 Sport + yesterday after owning a Jag F type v8 and a Bentley GTC ( that cost me £15000 on service before I sold it Failed turbos, door motors that had failed, boot motor failed
It sounds like F type on start up, I do miss Jag pops and bangs But on 2 hour test drive and 500 miles it is better built than Jag, comfortable, when put into Sport + its just as good as the Jag
with Lexus now doing extended full warranty up to 10 yrs as long as you have them service car its a no brainer

I think long term you'll be pleasantly surprised at the overall running costs of the LC, like you I've owned a few cars that have eye watering service costs, my CL65 was due a major service just before I sold it and was quoted £3K for that.
The whole Lexus service experience is one where you feel they are not taking you for a ride, particularly now with the warranty covered by main dealer servicing this is yet another bonus of owning the marque.
Glad you bought the full fat version.

I'm in the fortunate position to be able to purchase one of these in the lower price range.
First Lexus was an ISF, and I now have an RC hybrid.
I haven't yet had a drive in an LC, and would be interested in owners experiences.
In common with other Lexus owners, I find the infotainment system hopeless. It may be because I'm an old git, but I really do struggle to alter things when on the move. I really do have to set things up when on my drive way, and if I accidentally brush the touchpad and change something, I have to stop at the side of the road to sort it out again.
The heated seats in my RC have simple switches in the centre console, but understand these are not on the LC, and one has to use the touchpad to activate. Is this correct?
As stupid as it sounds, this is putting me off!!

I’ve had my LC for a month now. Superb service from the dealer so far. Build quality is fabulous, although I too have a sticky fuel filler. The media and touchpad is not so bad but I will have Apple Car Play fitted if it becomes a retro fit option.

Is this made in the same factory as the GRY?

These are stunning and I keep looking at them. But I can’t get the man maths to work! Don’t think I have ever seen one on the road.

They are so well received by the public. I took four days off work last week and drove through Wales. It's not unusual to park up the car, return to it and find someone admiring it, and more often than not, wanting to talk to you about the car.

Lexus (and Yamaha) did a cracking job of making a car that sounds great, but not obnoxious. It sounds more exotic than other Lexus V8s, more Maserati / Aston Martin like. The downshifts are sublime.

As for performance - well fast enough for the road. If you get the Sport + model, you get four wheel steering and that transforms the car, making it an absolute pleasure to drive from corner to corner. Yes, it's a GT car, but a very very capable one.
In summary, driving the LC is an adventure. A car you can drive long distances to seek out great roads. On long journeys, it feels special. When you find a good sweeping road, the chassis (and of course the V8) delivers in spades.

Lucky b'stard :-)

Dont think I'll live long enough for these to get 'affordable' like my old LS430 did.

The earlier versions are dropping a little bit again now, and some of the h versions are quite cheap. (relatively speaking)

There is still nothing else like it on the road. smile
