Thank you, I've had 3 MK2 MR2's previously so certainly have a soft spot for them, my last one was a Rev 2 Turbo which I loved but I always felt an NA engine suited it more for some reason? Well not the original 3sge as I felt that was a lethargic old thing.

However, I can imagine a V6 such as the one in your SMG MR2 (which by the way I think just looks 'right' the wheels, colour, wing combination) must be the sweet spot, a proper soundtrack, progressive grunt and in my eyes more in keeping with how I felt the MR2 wanted to be driven.

I'll probably be slated for that but just my opinion!

This is my 2nd ST205 as I massively regretted selling my first one, they are a bit of an odd one as with all the bonnet scoops, vents and massive wing you would assume its quick but in reality my old WRX would have seen it off, a similar aged Evo would leave it dead but oddly it doesn't bother me, its the presence and feeling when you're in it.

Anyway, enough rambling from me!

Nice to see one of those - a rare sight on our roads, lovely colour.

That's a G37/Q60 GT I think, with the 3.7V6, same as 370Z.

Definitely not! If I was starting over, I would go the 2GR-FE route with a Mk2 MR2 n/a. No question.
For now I'll have to make do with my modified Rev 5 turbo for weekends (when we get allowed out again). smile
Plus a totally stock JDM Rev 4 G-ltd for the more mundane tasks.

Wouldn't argue with any of that to be honest. Its a rare day that I miss my 3sgte while i'm actually driving the V6, although i do feel nostalgic for it when watching videos. But the V6 suits the chassis so well, its the perfect solution to what the 3sge leaves you wanting. And cheers for the compliment. I keep looking at 185's and 205's lately, so who knows.

I remember when these first hit the roads as a neighbour had one. It was an immediate hit as it looked like a rally car with the big spoiler.

If I recall correctly, they had a charge cooler?

They do indeed, the whole car is rather complicated including the super strut suspension at the front which isn't fun to replace!

If it hasn't been done before, or for a long time, the figure of 8 and control arm replacement can give rise to a lot of naughty words.*
A video of the job here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Av59uNTtSrw

 * I helped a friend who had a GT-Four do it several years ago, hence how I know. smile

I've got a ST205 chargecooler with twin fans on my MR2 turbo. It's a useful upgrade over the stock intercooler.

And the latest 1 litre example of Japanese unusualness. Apparently based on a room in Paris edition :-)
Perfect shed for cheap longevity. Settle down at the back ;-)
