Bad throttle response E46 (Bad MAF?)

Whenever I try and blip the throttle, instead of the RPMs going up smoothly, the RPMs go up a bit dodgy, first the RPMs go up to like 1.1k or so (instead of like 1.4k) then they hover and fall. Please help as I can't revmatch on downshift.
