E93 335i Limp Mode

Hi All,

Completely stock car bar a DCI which came with the car and on hard acceleration in 3rd gear I always get an engine fault message on the idrive and the car goes into limp mode.

Turn it on and off and it goes away.

I have a comprehensive BMW warranty but was wondering what could be causing this?

As you have the comprehensive warranty I wouldn't even start trying to figure it out.

Take it to BMW and just get them to look at/sort it.

It can be one or a combination of a lot of things, all of which will be covered by said warranty.

Or hpfp...does it take a good few cranks to start up after being strode for a while?
