Thank you Dave!Morning all
There’s a 335i on at the mo with a 5 year gap in MOT history (‘14-‘19) with 20 odd thousand miles put on in that time, no export market on HPI, and was with the same owner the entire time.
Second (current) owner doesn’t know why this was, assuming the first owner hadn’t forgot for four years whats the most likely explanation? My guess would be moved to Northern Ireland? Not a deal breaker for me albeit a slight red flag.

Does the service history and repair receipts look genuine, or are they missing for Four years too ?
A print out from the BMW dealer detailing regular visits up until 2014, and then nothing. It’s a bit weird but admittedly I’ll be buying/not buying on condition anyway. Just thought one of your good selves might have a possible thought as to why

So a Vcheck has revealed the vehicle was in fact exported at some point which would explain its disappearance from the MOT register in 2014.
Quite impressed with Vcheck actually. Never used it before and it has also revealed the car was bought at auction by the current owner. How the plot has thickened.
Annoying as I was all set to head off in the morning to complete the purchase.

VCheck is well worth it.Quite impressed with Vcheck actually. Never used it before and it has also revealed the car was bought at auction by the current owner. How the plot has thickened.

When did the current owner buy it? Guessing he’s either tying to flip it for a quick profit or he’s realised it’s a nail.

VCheck is absolutely brilliant compared to HPI etc. Some of the things it pulls up re: non recorded crash damage are deeply concerning as well - it links to salvage auctions photos so tou can see how badly smashed up that “hpi clear” car was 6 months ago!!
Yeah, there’s a thread on BabyBMW and it’s unearthed some absolute horrors.Vcheck showed a everal photos from when it was up for auction up north somewhere, but no details as to why it ended up there in the first place.
I’ve swerved it as a result; lack of history just isn’t sitting right with me. Gutted as I was all set to finally getting to know a 335!
The hunt goes on
