Evening chaps. Another lurker on tenterhooks over the G2L 840i GC offer.
Have just been to look at one and convinced myself that it will be just as practical as my current S4 Avant and previous 335d Touring for carrying road bikes and for going skiing en famille.
I too have had the emails from “JJ” (she must get that reaction a lot) and Matt Axford. Will not be remotely surprised when a “Sorry!” email comes through tomorrow.
What do we think of the LeasingOptions offer? I have a quote from them on a 3+23 @ £522 for 8k...
Leasing options seemed ok 48 hrs ago now it seems pants! Have just been to look at one and convinced myself that it will be just as practical as my current S4 Avant and previous 335d Touring for carrying road bikes and for going skiing en famille.

Central Leasing did this on 840i cabs a few months back. Does make you wonder how this happens.

The cynic in me suggests that it’s done by design, as how can so many leasing companies make the similar “mistakes” on a frequent basis. I thought such practices would be bad for business, now I’m not so convinced.
This is not the same as the errant pricing on a websites we see frequently. The credit applications were submitted to Leasys, who are owned by Credit Agricole and Fiat Chrysler Netherlands.
Whether they honour the offer remains to be seen, I'm not planning to clear a space in the garage just yet.
If this doesn’t happen I’d be happy with a good substitute deal for similar money on, say, a 330i.
If the best they come up with is ‘sorry, computer says no’, I’ll be kicking off and I hope others in here will too. As above a random credit search and wasted time don’t make me very happy. Best of all worlds of course would be the delivery of a nice 840 in June.

Anyone who has had finance accepted and an order confirmed should check their contract to see what it says about cancellation.
Those of us who have accepted a quote but not had finance approved don't have a leg to stand on.
I had a lease with Leasys approved where the dealer later tried to back out. I stuck to my guns, went to Leasys directly, and got the deal honoured.

I am guessing most of the people who got in quick were on the back of this thread. And so far only person has said their finance has been approved. - martylaa. Is there any others? Those of us who have accepted a quote but not had finance approved don't have a leg to stand on.

Had my quote back, appx £2500 more over two years.
Its gone to £490 + £2,900, 8000 miles.
I'm out!
Submitted my credit search, etc.
Is that a standard car? That's £5k more than I was looking at on 6k miles. I've not been credit checked so nothing lost other than my time (and a bit of excitement that I was gonna be in a BMW 840!).Its gone to £490 + £2,900, 8000 miles.

Can't see it being £5k more?

5 Series looked better value than 3 series when I was looking. If the prices are correct.....If the best they come up with is ‘sorry, computer says no’, I’ll be kicking off and I hope others in here will too. Just checked - that adds £1500 to list, which probably all went on your cost. Then 3k miles a year more than me adds maybe £600? So still means my lease would go from 10 to 13k. And, like you, at that price I'm out. Can't see it being £5k more?
