Warm weather, wet roads, a full tank of Momentum and the MDM setting.

What great little cars these M2Cs are smile. So much fun.

Had a service done on Friday on my m235i , local specialist charged me £165 for oil change/inspection, was £100 cheaper than local main dealer who has messed up the last two anyhow its a 2015 car with 22k on it now

Only 6000 miles since last service in Feb 2019 and I changed the oil myself last year

Picked up the shards of door mirror when the glass just decided to spontaneously detach from the backing as they unfolded this morning.

Finally picked the z4 up from my dad’s workshop after I had to leave it there a few weeks back after replacing the starter motor. First time it’s run since late Dec; bit lumpy to begin with but soon back to normal on the drive home. Out this morning to check it over and it was soaking inside. Thankfully it’s a breezy sunny day here so opened the roof halfway and wiped everything down and left it to dry out. Seems to be all good now.

E91 is absolutely filthy and the X5 is getting there too. Debated washing the cars today. Very short debate...biggrin

Also spotted a 2006 130i for sale in the village where I work. Manual box. Heated seats too. Non xenons though and a dodgy aftermarket stereo. 5.5k

Not sure I need another (N52 engined) BMW...

Busy few days faffing with cars...

The 125i still consumes most of my time. Wing mirror is painted and refitted after the tt in a white van hit it, OE diffuser has been painted gloss black and fitted, wheels have been refurbished, sealed with lots of FK1000 new centre caps and M gel badges. I spent a few hours yesterday washing 12 years of crap out of the wheel arches.

Both got washed today and topped up with quick detailer. The little 125i has really got under my skin.

I also discovered the hard way that bird st and cabriolets are not a good combo....a fresh bird st hit the wind deflector and sprayed all over the clean interior shoot

I found out which bit of my exhaust was knackered. Annoyingly the manifold and system themselves are absolutely fine but the flanges where they join are a corroded mess. I shall be bloody annoyed if I have to replace the whole lot because I cannot join the two together.

I had the same brake calipers fitted to the front of my 130i too and the same issue with the stickers. To me the sticker in your picture reads as W/// and not M\\\! I removed the stickers and left the calipers plain. I like your discs - I went with plain TRW 2 piece discs. Here's my setup after nearly a year during a suspension refresh.

I removed the rear bench of my 130i to clean underneath. It is amazing how McDonalds chips can exist in their original state!

Drove the 6 to work today. Surprising amount of compliments about it (from non car people in actual fact). Testament to the Bangle styling that a car of 15 years old still looks fresh today imo.

Good to hear its roadworthy again smile

Yes, i really like the 6. There were never that many about thus i can imagine they do turn heads now.

I've a soft spot for a 630i to replace my 330i.

I keep an eye on this one but it feels a little expensive - borne out by the fact hes been advertising it since 31-10-20.

I might go poke him after lockdown. I like in NI so local options are limited. If i take the head staggers it might be worth heading to the mainland for the right car at the right price.

I think Bangle’s designs have aged well (other than the 7 which was ugly then and hasn’t got any better).
