Sold the F31... eek

To my wife for a pack of choc chip digestives and a brew laughwink

She's landed her new job, so time for her to take on the BMW seeing as she'll be commuting more by m'way to begin with... It'll be safer for her in that and better suited to the commuting.

I'll take the Jazz on for the time being and then sell it later in the year probably
That’s very patient….I’d be hunting for a new project now! laugh

True….makes you wonder what could have been with me chucking a new fuse in lots and driving it.

I’ve ordered the OE part from BMW just in case a) the pattern part is crap and b) it fails on the 330i.

In all honesty Sam I'm not sure I can be arsed... With all the health issues I've had over the last 18 months and still struggling with one; a new car/project on top is probably too much at the moment...

I have been looking though biggrinhehe

I think I'd go either an older BMW (E46 330i manual, or along those lines); or completely out of my comfort zone and back to the early to mid 2000s when I was a Honda boy and go for an EP3 or FN2 CTR and make a sensible weekend toy

Well; a weekend toy is what I'd make out of any of them TBH - but would need to weigh up the pros n cons

I'd love a Z4 like yours, but even with the amount of weight I've dropped through said poor health, I'm still wide and tall and therein lies the issue!

Dan, the only sensible solution here is…

K20 swapped Jazz!

We’ll inherit a Jazz Si when my Mrs grandmother decides she doesn’t want it anymore. What we’ll do with it I have no clue.

I've seriously considered that biggrin

But also cannot be arsed with the faff... I know I can easily get the Hasport mounts, necessary looms etc all from the States. It's the hassle and cost I cannot be doing with, even with my pals doing the work, it's not cheap

They've done a few; it adds up, quickly!

It'd be better to put that £££ into an EP3 and get it properly sorted by them instead

Jack McNeil has just done that on YT.

It looks pretty good in all fairness.

It’d be rude not to keep an eye out, just in case that elusive manual turns up wink

Yup; watched that the other day...

It's been a common swap for a long time TBH, just not cheap and IMO, not worth it for our Jazz... With it being super low miles (and an auto); it needs to be sold as is etc

I might already have a few saves on C&C, eBay and AT laugh

There is one manual E39 530i for sale too, asking price is a piss take as you'd expect

I was just thinking that too…

I’ve tried love, there’s just no interest. The market is dead so I may as well just keep it. laugh

Haha aye; unfortunately this is via a dealer, so they're just trying it on...

It's been up for sale since late last year now IIRC, gone up £2k in that time...

Makes no sense but hey...

I've driven an e39 530i manual. I didn't exactly love it, as in the feel of changing gear. I only drove it 2 or 3 times for maybe a couple of hours - long story I can't get into. But then I've also driven an e39 528i auto - for several months - and yes the box is a bit slow-ish. I can't say for definite if I'd prefer manual. What makes you want a manual?

I have driven an auto and own a manaual 530i, in my own experience the manual makes the car much more engaging to drive.

All 4 E39s I had were auto; but I've driven a manual 530i and 540i as well as an M5 and they all did very well... However, they were well serviced boxes and with short shifters fitted, which makes a good deal of difference

I'm not sure I'd go for an E39 unless a really good one crops up and worth my time & money; I'm more inclined to look at an E46 or E90 / E92 for a weekend, manual car

Or as said previously; go right off piste and into a Honda biggrin

My F10 535d spends most of its time on motorways and the front shows it. This arrived this morning, never used touch up paint before so I'll probably need to book it in for a respray by the end of the weekend.

Rather than use the supplied brushes, a touch up applicator may work better as they are much smaller.

These are the Chipex ones that come with their kits but there are others that do the job just as well - and come in a variety of sizes.
