My 645Ci. This has just appeared in a Reader's Car thread, but it seemed appropriate to park it here too. Behind it is the everyday 330d coupe, which inspired me to go fully BMW in my pair.

Still to be sold is my 2013 Merc SLK350; good in many ways but I didn't spend anything as much time looking at pictures for that as I did for the 645.

Owned for two months and 600 miles, enjoying it very much though still not used to 20 inch wheels or the visible swiping left of the fuel gauge needle. The suspension has been slightly lowered for the wheels, so it wouldn't be a straight swap. Time will tell.

Offside headlamp isn't working on dip; this seems to be the fault of the connectors, so a bumper-off job to get this sorted. Or at least my (honest and trusted) spannermen tell me.
Looks very nice, great colour. The suspension looks quite a bit lower on the rear particularly, it suits those 20” wheels.

I fitted Eibach springs to mine with 20” VC7 wheels. Only 25/20mm lower F/R

Not exactly in the spirit of the thread... My e36 M3 next to my mate's e36 M3 on his driveway. Neither has moved in more than a year frown

Thanks, yours looks very trim and classy.

Could I ask, what rubber is on your rear wheels? Mine could do with renewing before the winter.

I think they’re Nankang something or other, non-runflat tyres. They came with the wheels as a new tyre/alloy package.

I had fitted brand new Bridgestone Turanza runflats to the standard alloys just a few weeks prior to buying the 20’s, & the car feels better on the non-runflat Nangkans!

Not technically my BMW but hired this little thing last week to mooch around Malta and Gozo and was pleasantly surprised, not least by how well I fitted in it, to the point where I briefly considered buying one, but it's just a bit ugly. If you're going to pose around in a convertible it should either look beautiful or sporty, and the 2 doesn't manage either, it's just a small, squat-looking generic BMW.

Nice colour and the wheels suit it well. I've never been a massive fan of the E63/64 front view but whatever you've done to the front makes that actually look OK.

Had four (including the wifes) over the years:

1) 1992 BMW 325i saloon, manual. Shame I forgot to take interior shots of this one, but it was lovely, tan interior and Schwarz Metallic II. 18-button OBC, analog dual-zone climate, obvious M Tech kit (including M Tech 2 steering wheel), M3 wheels. Let it go to a colleague in 2007~ and it met an untimely demise a few years later sideswiping a sandstone bridge frown

2) 2002 BMW 330d saloon, manual. Grey leather interior, full MK4 NAV computer/TV. I loved this car, my gateway to the French Alps on many a skiing holiday, fast enough, frugal enough, and I ran it all the way up to 166,000 on it's original turbo until the variable vanes got stuck. DIY'd the turbo but decided that it was past it's best so got shot of it for a 2008 2.0 TFSI A6 Avant, which whilst nice was never as interesting to drive as the 330d.

3) 2003 318Ti, manual, compact. This was the wife's. Bought as her 2nd car (after her 1.4 8v Lupo) and retrofitted to have proper BC stalk, cruise, MFSW and fitted with an aftermarket Dynavin NAV unit that worked well enough.

4) 2017 F33 440i Convertible, Auto. My current 2nd car. Great noise, love having the roof off, and IMO the best colour of Snapper Rocks blue. I do wish the interior wasn't black, but it is extended leather so the dashboard is nicer than the usual soft-touch plastics. The ZF 8HP is a masterpiece of a gearbox and the B58 engine is superb if a little less characterful than the old M50B25 I had in the 325i.

Some nice motors in there thumbup

That 440i is lovely; what a gorgeous colour

Quite like the black interior; as you said, the extended leather makes all the difference cool

Yup. Really not sure how I forgot about the existence of the 3 series convertible since I've got two.

I've handed in my BMW fanboy badge.

Thanks. Snapper Rocks Blue is indeed a fantastic colour, it never fails to receive compliments from people.

I don’t dislike the black interior, and the extended leather really does make the car feel more premium, but I like how a lighter interior lifts the cabin and makes it feel larger and less cave-like.

Found some pics (unfortunately photobucket watermarked frown) showing my old E46 330d, and my point about lighter interiors!

Hello guys . I've just taken delivery of my (New to me ) BMW E34 520i in Techno Violet . She was destined for a breakers when i had the opportunity to purchase her for next to nothing! Its in need of a fair amount of work to get MOTd and driveable but she's worth it.

Id like to start a build thread on her resto for personal documentation and to hopefully find other owners who might have some idea on common problems and fixes on the E34s

if anyone can point me in the place to start a thread it'll be greatly appreciated as im new here smile
